The Blind Assassin

Chapter 6

Levi's Pov:

We decided it was best to do the interrogation in my house since I would probably go mad in Erwin or Eren's pigsty of a house. We had her locked in one of my guest rooms. The windows were barred and there were guards posted outside of the room in the event that she try to escape.

The others were currently chatting in my office while I tried to fill out my paperwork. The merger in New York went well after my sudden departure which meant even more work. Hange was still freaking out over the fact that her friend had been working against us all along.

She seemed more excited than sad though I feel like she thinks if this as some novel rather than a real situation. I rolled my eyes and tried to shut them all out which was proving harder with each passing second.

After another couple of minutes I slammed my hands on the desk effectively getting all of their attention and shutting them up.

"Instead of blathering on like idiots why doesn't someone go check on our new recruit." I said trying to at least get one nuisance out of my office.

"I'll do it!" Hange shot up and darted towards the guest rooms.

"Of course shitty glasses volunteers." Erwin walked behind me and started rubbing my shoulders.

We had become very close after I took over the family business from my uncle Kenny, but no one knew of our true relationship. I'd like to keep it that way. I sigh and rub my temples trying to relax under Erwin's touch. Eren was laying on Mikasa's lap as she stroked his hair. This expedition did take a lot out of us all.

There was a loud thump that echoed down the hall. It seems our guest isn't happy with the accommodations she woke up in. It would be fine though Shitty glasses knew how to handle herself. Even if she was crazy. 

There was more struggling and shouting for a few minutes before it finally fell silent. Erwin moved to stand beside me as Mikasa woke Eren. I fixed my hear one last time as Hange walked in with out Prisoner in question. She had been handcuffed which was probably a smart choice to get her to follow willingly. 

She had her hair covering her eyes as she sat down in the chair. Ukai had said the once that she was sensitive to light. That might be a use to our advantage since she probably wouldn't be able to get very far without her sunglasses.

Hange had cuffed her hands behind her back and added another cuff to the bottom of the chair. Even if she tried to run she would have to take the chair with her. She was still dirty from our battle in the woods. Her legs were caked in mud which was now on the floor. 

"Great now I'll have to clean the office, and the guest room again." I thought as I glared at her sloping disheveled figure.

"So we meet face to face at last," Erwin was the first to break the silence "Not masks and no weapons between us."

I could here her quiet scoff as she was no doubt seeing behind her hair "Only cuffs and metal bars though right?"

I gritted my teeth. How dare she have an attitude, we had every wright to kill her where she stood. Yet we spared her and she has the gut to give us attitude.

"HAHA! Well these are just a temporary precaution." Erwin laughed it off but there was an edge in his voice "If you are willing to cooperate then they will no longer be necessary."

"Don't even bother" She tilted to the side but still didn't look up "You can't make me talk."

"Oh Zuka that's not what this is about at all." Hange butted in like Usual.

"Unfortunately she is right we want to negotiate with you," I said much to my dismay "We want you to work for us."

After I finished my sentence her head flung backwards and she burst out laughing like a mad woman. We all sprung up in shock thinking her chair was going to fall backwards from the force of it.
