We arrived on Venus and rode on our sparrows to the academy. When we arrived we were taken to the assembly in the court yard in the center of the academy, then to our assigned class. About one hour into the day Jess all ready sent someone to the infirmary for insulting her, I was surprised they weren't sent there in a body bag. Reid had out smarted one of the scientists in second period. A few weeks in, sports programs began and Trevor made the swim team while the rest of us just focused on our classes. The school was like any other, minus the combat training. Trevor got a part time job helping the research facility called the Ishtar Collective where they were studying Vex and other alien technologies. As a reward for helping the create a prototype sniper rifle the modified his personal rifle called Ice Breaker. I got a part time job watching over the colonies studying Vex ruins in case the Vex were "disturbed". The years went by with not much changed over the four years we were at the Academy, Trevor befriended a young group of researchers that also worked in the Ishtar Collective. During our last year, Comet Year, while working at the colony we noticed an increase in Vex "energy" within a ruin we referred to as "The Vault of Glass". Little did we know what it was going to cause.
Graduation Day
The ceremony had begun and we were receiving our diplomas and licenses. When I was called up I thought it would be nice to say one last thing in front of our class, so I grabbed the microphone the Vice-Principle, who already didn't like me and I yelled "No more jail time for me!" and those who knew me cheered. As the Principle made his "going away" speech, everything fell apart. The sky darkened with Vex power and Fallen Skiffs flew above the Academy. The Principle, in an attempt to calm the crowd something came up behind him, I soon realized what came up behind him. The Vex goblin shot down the Principle, panic erupted. Reid managed to group us together then we summoned our sparrows and headed for our ships and left Venus, watching the Academy that served as our home burn in the assault of the Vex forces and the Fallen stealing all they could get their hands on.
