Weeks after the Academy we settled in The City. We told the Vanguard Titan mentor, Zavala, what had happened on Venus. He didn't seem happy we left the others "But if we stayed we would've died!" I told him, he didn't seem happy I talked back. If it wasn't for Trevor I probably would've slammed him into the nearest Ketch. After we told him all we knew he pulled Trevor and me aside and asked us if we could guide a team to the Vault we spoke of, at first I was against it but Trevor convinced me.
About a week later we returned to Venus with a Hunter known as Beck and he told us the Academy weren't the first to discover the Vault of Glass. There was a group of guardians lead by a Titan named Kabr that entered the vault and learned of what it was inside, a Vex machine called Atheon. Beck mentioned that Atheon most likely released the Vex onto the academy. I swore to destroy it, Beck said if we needed an ally when we do assault the Vault he'll help. When we arrived there appeared to altered Vex Minotaurs, Trevor called them "praetorians" and they protected sync plates that are used to open the Vault. Beck said the three of us couldn't open the Vault alone, so we returned to the Tower.
Days after we returned Reid had gotten captured by the House of Devils' Fallen, this was the first time I had a reason to fight the House of Devils but they had my friend and I was not letting that go unpunished.
