"You're late"my dad stated as I walked in the door "sorry daddy it won't happen again"i slowly replied hoping he wouldn't turn around and see the black eye and bloody nose i got "yeah you bet your ass it won't because you're Grounded give me your phone bring me your laptop and you're not going out for a month"my dad yelled i put my head down as he turned so he couldn't see my face "no please dad the of mice and men concerts Thursday" i pleaded as i handed him my phone and he turned and sat back down "if you're good and come straight home after school I'll think about letting you have an off day but if you screw around and are late you are not going Alexandria I don't care if Jesus is playing"he said as he chuckled at how stupid he sounded "okay daddy I'll come straight home I promise" i walked up to my bedroom. I went straight to my closet and grabbed my pajamas and yelled downstairs"dad im taking a shower don't use the washer" "okay sweetheart just don't use all the hot water and dinner will be done when you get out "i went to the tub and started my bath. I grabbed my blade and cut my wrists and thighs.i washed up drained the tub and rinsed it to get rid of that oh so familiar crimson color. I went back to my room and got dressed in my long sleeve ramones shirt and sweatpants that said
'purdy girl' on the butt. I walked down stairs to see if dinner was done. When i entered the kitchen i screamed my dad was laying on the ground with a knife in his back. I picked up the phone, my dad was still breathing; I could hear him struggling. the emergency operator answered "911whats your emergency" "umm its...m..my dad h..he's been stabbed" "okay calm down sweetheart what's the address" "356 Hallburry lane san Fransisco California 59877" "we're dispatching police and EMT vehicles now is your dad still conscious" "no but he's breathing" "now are you sure the person who did this is not still in the house" "no i have to stay by my dad he's really badly hurt we have security cameras though so hell show up on there who did this to him" "okay sweetheart they're almost to you so just keep holding up your strong how old are you" "im 16" "awesome so you just had your sweet sixteenth birthday" the police sirens stopped in front of my house they walked through the front doorway which i realized didn't have a door it was kicked off the hinges and on the floor the officers came and talked to me and told me they would have an officer come stay with me until i am 17. Which is in a month. I left the house while they cleaned it up my dad was in the hospital in critical condition and i wasn't even aloud to ride in the ambulance with him and he will be in the hospital for six months under recovery because it cut a vital stem and paralyzed him. I got dressed and came downstairs to talk to officer stein we talked about how to get through things like this he told me that its hard to get through this but its possible i talked to him about the black eye i had i told him how i got it he said that if i need help to call him. I got up and walked to bed and he followed me i said "goodnight see you in the morning and went to clothes my door but he stopped it and walked into my room and hugged me tight "i can tell you needed that And call me Cayman. friends?" "Of course" i replied he smiled and walked to the guest bedroom. "Night Alexandria he yelled" i smiled and yelled back "night Cayman" i laid down in my bed and texted my only friend Tony who i never see anymore cause he's to busy touring with his band pierce the veil

T:ugh don't ask i love touring with the band but sleeping in the bunks is awful after sleeping in my huge bed
with my wifey but tonight were in a hotel cant wait to see you tomorrow

My phone started to ring just as i read the message "hey is everything alright what happened you were so excited now you're not going is your dad okay?" I started to cry but i took a deep breath and told him what happened to my dad i heard vic in the background "hey is that lexy put me on" i heard the exchange of hands "hey lex its me vic" he said "i know hey" i started to sniffle again "hey...hey don't cry sweetheart im here for you listen i know its hard but you gotta keep your head up. i want you to come to the concert tomorrow, we got all of the bands excited to see you and we don't want to let them down Oliver and Alan are really looking forward to seeing you more then anyone" "ill think about it okay vic if i can even get up in the morning"
