The weekend had passed-it mainly consisted of Olivia questioning her feelings towards Corey- and it was now Monday again.
Olivia knew Corey was going to ask her why she left the party and could only hope that how she felt wouldn't turn the conversation into an argument.

Olivia arrived at work and headed straight to her office, part of her hoping she wouldn't bump into Corey. When she opened the door to her office, she was surprised to see Corey leaning against her desk as if he was waiting for her. She didn't see his car in the car park, when did he get here?

"Good Morning."
"Morning."
"You left the party in a rush. Why."
"Can we not talk about this now? I have so much to do today."
"How about I come by your place after work and you can tell me why you left the party then?"
Olivia was hesitant to answer but knew he would not stop asking until he got an answer, so she simply responded with "fine."
"Great. See you at 6."
Olivia didn't respond and just simply waited till Corey left the room before taking a seat at her desk, and opening up her laptop.

Olivia could barely focus on her work, all she could think about was what she was going to tell Corey. She knew why she left the party, but she couldn't tell him that- it's too embarrassing.

After a tiring few hours, Olivia was now allowed to go home. With no motivation to do anything, she simply changed into a hoodie and joggers before slouching down on her sofa.

An hour had passed and Olivia was now deciding what she wanted for dinner, when she heard a knock at the door. Thee was no way it was 6 pm already. She checked her phone for the time and sure enough it was 6.
She cleared her throat before making her way over to the door, where she let Corey into her home- for the second time.

"Hey."
"Hey. Can I get you something to drink?"
"No I'm good thank you."
They made their way over to the sofa.
"So... the party."
Olivia didn't say anything.
"Why'd you leave?"
"I wasn't feeling well," she lied. Even though they still barely know each other, Corey knew her enough to tell that she was lying.
"I don't believe it. What's the real reason?" He asked.
"Why do you care so much that I left? You seemed to be having fun." Corey scoffed.
" What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means that you were clearly enjoying yourself dancing with that girl."
"That's what this is about? Me and her?"
"No I just" Olivia trailed off. It went silent. Corey was thinking of why she would leave the party after seeing him dance with another girl? Then it clicked.

"Wait... Are you jealous?" Corey queried.
It was silent again, giving Corey an answer to his question.
"No, yes, maybe. I don't know. I mean we're just friends." Olivia spoke.
Corey couldn't lie, it stung a little bit when she said they are just friends. Why did it sting? He didn't know.

"I was just trying to enjoy myself. Is that a bad thing?" Olivia was taken aback by this.
" No of course not."
Corey didn't know what to say next but
"You have nothing to be jealous of. She's just a friend. Besides I have my eye on someone else," was what came out of his mouth.

Once again there was silence.
"I should go. I'll see you tomorrow." Corey spoke up.
"Yeah. Bye." Was all Olivia could muster.
"Bye". With that, Corey stood up and made his way towards the door, opening and closing it behind him.

Olivia couldn't move. All she could do was sit there and wonder what just happened. It hurt her a little when Corey said he had eyes for someone else. Why? Well there is only one answer.

As for Corey, when he got home he just lay in his bed with tonight's events replaying in his head. He questioned his feelings for Olivia and that's when he realised...
