We will always meet rivals in everything we do,

but the most dangerous ones are those

we believe to be our friends

Chapter is written in 3rd person point of view

The [color] haired girl averted her eyes from the raven and the blonde who were outside, their mouths moving; they were talking. [name] and her two friends, Haruno Sakura and Yamanaka Ino, started to walk away, [name] looking a last time back to the scenery of the campus.

Outside were the two boys, best friends since middle school, staring into each other's eyes. Somehow that little glaring contest was familiar, they stared often at each other showing the other one their hatred. But today it was way different, those two aren't enemies, or at least that's what everybody else thought. The two males both share a passion that shouldn't be shared; the love for a certain girl with beautiful [color] eyes.
How can a friendship withstand when the obstacle is love?
All is fair in love and war, right?

Sasuke took a deep breath, his blonde friend looked at the raven questioning.

"What is it, teme?" he asked, calling Sasuke by the nickname like nothing happened; nothing at all. The fair complected boy bit his lower lip and pushed the Uzumaki against the wall, his fist colliding with the cold and solid stone, inches away from the tanned boy with the whisker like strokes.

"Don't call me that!" He yelled, the rage and fury obvious in his onyx eyes that took over a shade of red. Naruto was speechless, no noise was coming from the blonde, not even breathing, he just held it and gazed with wide open cerulean orbs in the ones of his friend.

"Why!? How can you be so casual around me!? You traitor!" The Uchiha screamed desperately. His knuckles turning white from the pressure he set on them. The blonde was irritated.

What is he talking about?

"I don't understand, Sasuke." He mumbled, not knowing what else to say. He didn't want to anger the raven any more; what if he goes violent.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Uzumaki Naruto! Tell me, since when? Since when do you have a crush on [name]!?" Blue eyes widened and like on instinct he pushed his friend away and shook their shoulder.

"What in the world is wrong with you, Sasuke!?" He bawled out to the raging boy.

"What's wrong with me? What is wrong with you! Now, answer my question!"

"Why do you even want to know?" Naruto argued back and that was already enough for the Uchiha and his fist made contact with the blonde's jaw; he hissing in pain.

"So you do love her!" Naruto lurched back and shook his head. He glared at Sasuke and his hands formed into fists. The Uchiha went too far.

The boy ran at the dark haired teenager and pushed him to ground, his fist on the way to hit Sasuke's face, but stopped centimeters before.

"What's wrong in loving a woman so kind and beautiful like [name]?" he said breathing heavily and a single, lonely tear welling up in his blue orbs. He looked away and stood up from the raven and pulled him up. The Uchiha calmed down and sat down on the ground.

"I always thought you like Sakura." he uttered, his eyes focused to the wet, green grass. The Uzumaki gave a short and sad laugh.

"I thought that, too, but I don't think that she likes me, she loves you."

"But I don't like her." Naruto sat down next to the boy with the jet-black hair and put his arm over his shoulder.

"You said the same thing about [name], but yet you are here, confronting me for something as silly as love itself, foolish Sasuke." Naruto chuckled. The Uchiha snorted and looked at Naruto.

"Stop acting like Itachi!" The boy told his friend, an anger vein popping out on his head.

"One of us has to be the wise one, you know."

"And the knucklehead number one thinks he is the wise one?"

Naruto chuckled. "I know, I don't fit in that role very well." he said and looked at his hands, a sad expression appearing.
I am not wise, I am probably the worst friend that has ever existed, but I don't want [name] to be any more hurt. . .

"So, we are rivals again?" Sasuke asked unsure, his eyes directed to the blue sky.

"Have we ever stopped being rivals?"

"I will make [name] love me again."

"Same goes for me."

They both chuckled and got up, stretching out their arms.

"Good luck with that." They said simultaneously and walked away in opposite directions.
