They were his closest friend.
They had always been there when he needed them. When he lost to B2J, they cheered him up with Mr. Dodo Ice Pops and a little dance party playing his songs and dancing to them. He would always laugh with them, dancing til the sun came up, singing sappy songs at full volume into the ice pops as if they were microphones.
When he'd talk about the endless void of space, they just sat there and listen. He knew they quiet didn't understand the terms and such, but they still listened. That sparkle in their eyes, it made him feel a certain way.
No matter what they'd do, he'd get this tug in his chest. Like, he couldn't be anywhere else than with them. He didn't want to be anywhere else than with them.
When they came to him crying after their newest album flopped, he got this horrendous pain in his own chest. He had done everything he could to make them feel better, just like they would've to him. And it worked, it always did, it was their thing. A dance party with sappy love songs, and pop after pop.
He got to the point he just thought the reason why he was so comfortable around them was because he thought of them as family. He felt as if he could truly be himself, a self he didn't know even existed within himself. He could joke, laugh, cry, rant and rave, he could do anything and they were always right there and they never left.
He never knew how much he needed that, he yearned for someone like that and now that he had one, he had no idea what to do, or how to feel.
Everything they did, everything they said, every smile they gave him, he fell deeper and deeper into this pit. And he didn't know how to get out of it.
Eve tually, he asked some advice from friends, and it went as expected. Poorly.
Nadia gave the oddest advice, probably from her experience with Zuke.
The Sayu team gave the cheesiest advice, probably from some anime they had just watched.
Yinu's mother went on for hours about her late husband to the point of making the atmosphere of the room extremely uncomfortable.
Tatiana was better than the others, talking about communication and talking about emotions and such. Nova always argued about how he had no idea what he was feeling, nor if they returned the feeling. She simply said that's where the communication came in, but he was both too stubborn and too worried about losing them to implement that one.
Next was Neon J.
J started off a snicker.
"What?" Nova was slightly ticked off that the first thing he did was laugh at him.
"Oh, it's nothing, besides the fact that you're a lovesick puppy."
Nova sat there for a couple minutes, was he in love?
Well, there was that smile they always gave him that made his heart soar.
And their eyes always twinkling like galaxies when he spoke about his interests.
And their presence always cheered him up.
And he always wanted to be next to them.
And hold them.
