"Everyone in their seats. We have a new student."

At Aizawa's words, everyone settled sown immediately. It's not very often a new student arrives at UA, and it was a good chance to make a new friend. Aizawa looked toward the doorway and tilted his head at the class.

"Come in Y/N."

In walked a person who smiled warmly at the class and waved.

"Hi! I'm Y/N. I originally came from the U.S. before I moved here to try to get into UA!"

Everyone already knew they were going to like this kid. They seemed so kind and loyal. Aizawa scanned the classroom before his eyes landed on a certain green-haired boy who was looking out the window.

"Why don't you show them around?"

Midoriya looked away from the window and nodded as he got up and told the new kid to follow him. The walked out of class awkwardly before Midoriya spoke up.

"Y/N, right?"

The transferee nodded as they kept walking in silence.

"My name's Deku!"

They stopped in the middle of walking and stared at their guide, confusion plastered on their face.

"Your name is Deku?"

Izuku looked away for a second before nodding and started to walk again as the newbie jogged to catch up with him. Midoriya looked over at Y/N.

"What's your quirk?"

Y/N looked up from the floor and at the happy, curious, broccoli.

"Weelll... I can make others feel intense emotion..."

Midoriya's eyes lit up in excitement and turned towards Y/N, asking them to show him how it worked. Y/N nodded, not thinking much about it and asked which emotion. Midoriya stopped for a second to think, before choosing.

"Happiness!"

Y/N stopped walking and looked back at viridian eyed boy. They scratched the back of their neck uneasily and answered hesitantly.

"Um, actually it's hard for me to produce emotions that you experience often. Disgust or sadness might work better for you!"

Y/N explained as Midoriya looked down at the floor and begged for them to do happiness. Y/N reluctantly agreed, stating that it will drain their energy and produced a stream of glowing yellow light from the palm of their hand, pointing at the eager teen.

After the transition was done, Midoriya opened his eyes and smiled widely and Y/N looked down at their palms, confused.

"How do you feel Deku?"

Izuku sighed in content and hugged Y/N tightly.

"I feel...amazing! How long will this last?"

Y/N hugged back as they answered, still baffled.

"A couple hours at most. But... I'm not drained at all-"

Midoriya interrupted them and pulled a confused Y/N outside of UA.

"H-hey wait! Where are we going?"

He stopped dragging his new friend and let go of their hand, running backwards so he was facing Y/N.

"Let's go do something fun!"

"But what about school?"

Midoriya laughed and started running again, shouting behind him.

"School can wait!"

Y/N shrugged and ran off to be with their new friend.

A few hours later...

Y/N and Midoriya sat down on the bench, laughing and out of breath. Y/N placed their hands behind their head and leaned back and Izuku rubbed the back of his neck and looked over at his friend, smiling at them. The quirk was just about to wear off, but before that, Izuku hugged Y/N again and pulled away from them.

"Hey... thank you.."

The quirk wore off and Midoriya gave Y/N a small smile, which they returned with a big grin.
