"You're leaving boy?"

Haru nodded, "I'm going to dorm at Seidou."

A wrinkled finger lifted in the air, "Tsk, troublesome boy. You know the state you're in. I don't want to hear about anymore incidents."

The silence was thick, "Okay Ojīchan."

"Whether it comes from you or the team, you're switching schools immediately this time! I mean it!"

"Okay Ojīchan." Haruka sighed in exasperation.

It wasn't a threat. It was a warning. Haru knew that his grandfather was as serious as the day he was born. Seriously, he had heard stories from O bāchan about how he never cried as a baby and drank beer straight out of the womb.

"You have everything you need, right?" O bāchan added from beside him.

Haruka nodded stiffly as he took in the hidden meaning behind her words. She was really asking if he had all his meds and prescriptions for the doctors office. He wrapped his arms around his grandmother. "I'll see you guys soon."

"Yes, yes, you better go before it gets late," Ojīchan grumbled in the background. Promising to call them both, the curly blond flashed a smile and picked up his duffel bag and backpack.

Walking down the stone pathway outside of the apartment, he waved at the elderly couple until he couldn't see them anymore. It was still bright outside and for that, Haruka was glad. He didn't want Kazuya to miss an entire day of practice because of him. After his grandmother had interrupted their intense conversation, they talked for hours about baseball. It was the first time that they ever had a serious hardball related conversation and it didn't disappoint. The glimmer of admiration and competitive streak in Kazuyas eyes, sent a thrill of happiness through Haruka. He didn't know it was possible to meet someone who loved the sport just as much as he did. Just as much as Kono. If he didn't already know how serious the older boy was when it came to baseball, it was crystal clear to him now.

"Do you really need this much stuff?" Kazuya groaned from behind him.

As they walked, Haruka glanced back. He watched as his friend struggled with three additional bags. He rolled his eyes, "Think of it as practice before practice."

Kazuya snickered and muttered something under his breath.

"What was that?" Haruka turned and started walking backward.

Kazuya squinted his eyes and spoke up, "What would Coach Kataoka think about you injuring his catcher?"

Haruka smiled, squinting his eyes back at him. "What would Coach Kataoka think about you injuring his catcher?" He mimicked childishly.

"Oi, watch where you're going. Unless you want to injure yourself before the summer tournament even begins."

"I—," He began as his heart jumped in his chest.
