Hello Everyone!✋😄
Remember me or have y'all forgotten me and this book? I'm extremely sorry for being super duper late in updating this book. But cheer up, coz here's an update. It feels home to be back here, I missed this book a lot.
I haven't done any proofreading, so there might be some typos. Sorry! Without wasting any more time, let's dive directly into the story. Hopefully, y'all will like it.
Happy Reading!💚

"Han Maa, I'm fine! Don't worry...", I tried assuring her for the nth time. Still, she asked again," Are you sure, beta? See, I don't want you to suffer. Come back here, I'll..."
"Maaaaaaa! I'm telling you na that I'm fine. Now should I focus on my prep or your cribbings? And about this cold, then I'm fine. Moreover, I'm not a baby anymore", I replied getting irritated with her naggings to get back home just because of this stupid cold. This is the reason I don't tell them, she makes huge mountain ranges out of a molehill.
"But Bachha... you'll always remain, my baby boy, na. It's just..." she started only to get interrupted by me," Maa, I've reached the city library. I will call you later. Don't worry I'll be fine. Okay, bye! And love you". I instantly hung up not giving her further chances to start her manipulations. Moms, I tell you! They can make their children do anything with their sweet words or big red angry eyes, and for me, both situations are terrible to face because I can't handle both. But I do miss her and others, terribly...
This isn't the time to sulk, let's get going.
I crossed the busy road somehow and entered the gigantic gates of the city library. As usual, there was hardly any soul lurking in the open pillared corridors of the 1960s library building except for the security guards and some gardeners who were busy watering and taking care of the marvellous garden just in front of the building. Always I have been the first library patron to arrive and today isn't an exception either.
This library has been like a temple since the last year where I come daily unfailingly. To feed in my general knowledge quotient and sometimes to drown my bibliophilic heart into the fictional perfect realms of fantasies of novels and oh-so-magical poetries, just before getting back into student mode. The red-hued pillared corridors at the entrance giving away the British era vibes, the grand main hall with the chief librarian seated in the middle along with his assistants, the huge shelves behind them full of books of every genre and kind, the desks and benches placed a little away from the librarian's area for the patrons of the library, and everything of this heaven has come to know me. It feels personal like a sweet haven for me where I can be myself and drown in the fictional world uninterrupted. The bibliosmia in the air soothes my soul and provides me with the energy to cope up with the remaining day's hustle.
"Good morning!", I heard a gentle voice greeting me which pulled me out of my thoughts. "Good morning, Kaka", I wished the elder security guard who has been working here for 12 years. His smiling countenance immediately changed into disapproval as he said," Ved, you have caught a cold. Yet you're here. You could have rested in the PG. If you will not read for a day then the Himalayas wouldn't have broken down, son". He must have noticed my red nose and guessed it. Damn!
Why on earth everyone is making a big deal out of my cold? It's a simple common cold. Now get ready for a lecture, Ved. Pheww!
" Kaka, I'm fine. It's just a common cold, it happened due to the seasonal change. And I've taken the meds yesternight. So, please don't worry. And about me coming here, you already know I can't stay away from this place because of my preps", I tried reasoning but he didn't buy them. " Beta, health should be your priority...", he started but I interrupted him," Kaka, okay got it! I'll be reading here as I've already arrived but I won't be going to college. From here, I will head up straight to my PG. Is that okay with you? A day off?"
