Part 2

Hello all, I hope your day is going well!

Today I have decided to label this current segment as Naruto's PRE-GENIN life. This time period should not take very long, perhaps between 6 to 8 chapters, but that's just me speculating my own capabilities, it could be longer or shorter, but that's how long I anticipate it taking me to wrap up the introduction to the story if you will.

Pre-Genin Life- Chapter 2

~Two Years Later~

"Itachi-sensei, look I can finally do it!" exclaimed an exuberant Naruto as he stood atop a 20-meter deep lake, looking across the water towards the shore at one of his first friends, turned teacher.

"It took you long enough, I finished this exercise 2 days ago, your control sucks," Sasuke stated bluntly, who had just finished target practice with his Kunai and shuriken, lazily staring towards his best friend.

"Oi, Sasuke-teme, shaddup before I kick your ass!" The young blond exclaimed as he made a surprisingly acrobatic dash across the lake he was on towards the Uchiha brothers.

As the close friends bickered between one another, Uchiha Itachi continued to look on stoically, but in his head his mind was racing. 'These kids are geniuses' he thought to himself trying to keep his composure. It had only been nine days since he assigned these six-year old's the water walking exercise, and Sasuke, who had just been practicing with his ninja tools, completed it in just a measly week. However Itachi was truly caught off guard by Naruto, who had completed such a difficult task for actual shinobi 8 years his senior, in just nine days, while containing a bijuu, who undoubtedly threw Naruto's chakra control to hell thanks to the excess amounts of chakra he had. In fact, it should not have been possible for Naruto to do such a feat, and yet the same thing occurred 3 months earlier when he taught the two aspiring shinobi the tree walking exercise. Itachi was very impressed with where the development of his younger brother and his best friend was headed, since if they kept down the path they were on, they would truly become splendid shinobi one day.

"...chi, oi Itachi, stop zoning out and do what you promised you would!" pined the young Uzumaki.

'Promise? What promise did I... ah that's right' the Uchiha prodigy recalled. Just one year earlier, Itachi began training the young duo of Naruto and Sasuke. Towards the beginning he only planned to teach them small things, basically a crash course of what they would be learning for their first year in the academy which started for them when they turned six; However, everything Itachi threw at them, they ate it up. About two months in to Itachi beginning to train them they began begging Itachi to teach them jutsu that they could "Kick the other nations ass" with. To get them to shut up, Itachi promised that when they were able to master the basic E-ranked jutsu, and able to complete the tree and water walking exercises, he would begin teaching them jutsu, and after hearing that, they threw themselves even harder into training. Of course he had already planned to begin teaching Sasuke the Uchiha's rite of passage, the Gokakyu no Jutsu (great fireball technique) when he turned 6, but the fact in just a year both his little brother and Naruto were able to complete everything to such a degree astonished him. Well, almost everything, Naruto had trouble with one of the E-rank jutsu, but thanks to the Sandaime, they were able to overcome it.

~Flashback~

"Alright, here it goes, Bunshin no Jutsu (clone technique)," exclaimed a five-year-old Uzumaki Naruto, as Itachi, Sasuke, and the Sandaime Hokage of Konohagakure, Sarutobi Hiruzen, watched on.
