Part 2:Connection of Enemies-Part 7

Hello everyone, glad to see you back for the 7th chapter of The Forests new Heir. Naruto's pre-genin life has finally finished and we may proceed with the main story line! I however think the first 6 chapters were very important for the story and the dynamics of the characters. I always disliked fan renditions of Naruto that changed so much without changing their childhood as well to make the way they think in their story make sense.

Anyways Part 2 of this story is called Connection of Enemies.

~4 years later~

*Bzzt Bzzt Bzzt Bzzt Bz-*

"Oh shut up," a 12, almost 13 year old Naruto spit out as he slammed his hand on the alarm . As the boy groggily sat up in his bed, he heard a door open and close on the other side of the apartment before footsteps began walking towards his bedroom.

As the blond continued to sit there wiping the crust out of his eyes, his door opened and he was welcomed to the sight of his brother, casually brushing his teeth with a look of judgement in his eyes.

"I've heard that alarm go off about 3 times now," Sasuke said patronizingly as he continued to eye the blond who began to force himself out from under his covers.

"Shut up, there's a snooze button for a reason and I am going to use it, the blond said, showing clear annoyance from his brother's input.

"Well," Sasuke began as he turned, leaving the door opened as he walked back towards his bathroom, "hurry up and get ready, today is the day of our final examination and you're the only person I know who would possibly show up late for it."

As Sasuke closed the door leading to his side of their apartment, Naruto stood in his underwear in the middle of his room for a few seconds, his lips puckered and eyes squinted, before they suddenly widened, and he screamed "SHIT," before scrambling to get ready before class began. Sasuke, who heard the outburst quietly chuckled to himself, as he finished getting himself together. Today was the day he was waiting for. He would finally become a shinobi.

'A shinobi they will all be proud of,' the young Uchiha thought to himself as he smiled slightly, remembering his late family members.

As Sasuke finished brushing his teeth and began to exit the apartment, he suddenly had the instinct to duck as Naruto leapt over him with a boastful howl, landing swiftly to the ground as he zoomed past Sasuke and booked it to their destination.

Sasuke sat in a heap on the ground looking incredulously at the dust cloud that was his brother making his way towards the Academy.

'I literally saw him get up 2 minutes ago,' the raven-haired boy thought bewildered, before shaking his head and taking his time as he walked towards the objective he has been waiting to reach for years.

~Streets of Konoha~

Yamanaka Ino was currently walking down the streets of Konoha, portraying a calm and collected exterior, but inside, she was a bucket full of nervousness. Today she would take her final exam and tomorrow finally see after 4 years if she would become the kunoichi of the year. As the Yamanaka heiress continued to make her way towards the Academy, a voice which was a large reason for her anxiety called out to her.

"Hey Ino-pig, interesting to see you here," the voice called out snobbily.

Ino sighed, as she turned slightly to see her (ex?) best friend Haruno Sakura catch up to her.

"I don't see why it's interesting Sakura, I have taken this path to the Academy for the past 6 years," the blond replied smoothly, which caused Sakura to adorn an annoyed scowl.
