I woke up chilled, knowing Seth wasn't there I sat up and stretched my arms over my head, yawning. Can we go for a run? I smiled, she has such a happy vibe all the time.
"OK, as long as its not freezing" she made little yippy noises in my head as I walked over to the window and the fresh cool breeze came in, along with the forest smells and sounds.
I smiled brightly and opened the front door and as I stepped out my foot crunched on something. I picked it up and my mouth dropped to the floor.
It was addressed to me. In my mothers handwritting. I was dumbfounded as I stepped back inside I shakily tore open the envelope and unfolded the tattered paper.

I hope you've realized by now that this was addressed to you by your mother. I've recently been informed that your brother had been attacked by a rogue and lets just agree that I am extremely disappointed with the recent turn of events. I want you to surrender to me. Or I make your mother suffer more than she already has. Yes she is alive for now until you give yourself to me. You have 5 weeks. Here is a map to find yourself back home.

Angry, sorrowful tears spilled over my cheeks and I heard the door open as Seth walked in he stopped dead in his tracks looking at my pitiful face he engulfed me in his arms and I broke down in his chest. "What happened?". His words echoed through my ears and I reluctantly handed him the letter and I sat myself down with my face in my hands for what was going to be a long night.
