Daz leads me down a long corridor, glowing white bulbs float above our heads. Lighting the way. He turns a corner and I follow. Stopping suddenly I run into him. He whips around smiling.
"Here is your room" the door pops open. I glance inside, it was rather small, just a bed, dresser, and a door leading into the bathroom.
"Thanks?" I ask.
"Welcome" he nods, "treat it like home" and he just vanishes into the air. I left alone and with no idea how to find myself back enter the room and shut the door. I walk into the bathroom and look in the mirror. I was a mess, I cringe and strip of my clothes and climb into the hot shower. I smile, grateful for the warmth. After a few minutes I hear a bang on the door, I frown and climb out the shower. Wrapping a towel around me I open the front door. Jane stands their, her hand on her hip casually.
"Hi!" I exclaim cheerfully.
"Daz wants you" she replies, no happiness what do ever.
"Alright" I mutter, "let me just change." I shut the door in her face, I open a drawer and find neatly folded clothes. I put on sweatpants and a t-shirt and exit the room. I follow Jane silently down the halls, again I find myself in the large room. Daz stands in the center, a ring of chalk surrounds him.
"Ready to get started?" He asks motioning towards me.
"Wait, no?" I exclaim, "I need sleep"
"No you don't" he laughs "now come over here" I stand back but Jane pushes me, just hard enough for me to stumble into the circle. I stand their, secretly wishing I was in bed.
"Now what?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"You do magic, I want you to ignite that chalk" He points at the ring.
"How?" I ask.
"Just imagine it, magic is just a form of imagination that has been released from your mind." He explains.
"Wait, one question?"
"What?" He rolls his eyes.
"Why can't Jane use magic?" I question.
"Well, there are multiple different ways to use magic. Jane is not, and will never be powerful enough to use it on her own. Therefore she has to use items that contain magic within them" He informs, "Now ignite the circle" he insists.
"Alright, don't get your nerves in a bundle" I reply, closing my eyes I imagine fire on my fingers, a sudden wave of heat hits me and I open my eyes, small flames were dancing atop each of my fingers. I smile and stoop over, I put my finger on the chalk and the fire spreads around us. I look over at Daz who is nodding.
"Good. Not what I was expecting but good." He finishes "You can go to bed now, he waves his hand and I am teleported into my room. A wide grin spreads on my face, I have magic! I raise my palm up, picturing a flame to sprout out of it. Within seconds a flame appears, it does no harm to me besides creating a bunch of heat. I shut my hand and the flame extinguishes. I smile and head over to my bed, I lie down and close my eyes. Instantly I fall asleep.
