After lunch, we had recess. I was still pretty mad at Dean and I'm pretty sure Sam would rather hang out with his brother than me so I decided to go to the swing sets. I've always loved swinging. I don't know if it's the wind whipping back my hair or feeling like flying when you jump out of the swing or for that split second when you go so high that you leave the swing. I've just always loved it.

I walked over and picked a swing. I barely pumped my legs but in no time I was already super high. I got ready to jump when someone suddenly said, "Katie, that's not a safe thing to do."

I jumped, to early, out of the swing and landed hard on my left foot. Right away I could tell something was wrong. I tried to stand up, but it hurt too much so I settled for sitting up instead.

"Gosh Cas, are you trying to kill me? I mean seriously a warning next time would be great!" I said a little annoyed.

"My apologies. Are you injured?" He said squinting at me.

"I'm fine," I grumbled, trying to stand up. I finally stood up, but when I put pressure on my ankle, I felt a white-hot pain from my toes to my knee.

"Katie, you are hurt. Let me heal you," he said looking worried.

"Leave me ALONE," I said sitting down once again. It seemed to be my only option until some teachers or something came to help. I was NOT going to let Castiel help me in any way. Hey, I could hold a grudge. I'm actually still not talking to one girl for taking my cookies off my lunch tray when I wasn't looking.

He came over and touched my foot, and I gasped. For a second, I felt a horrible pain, but now I felt fine. I flexed my toes and when I didn't feel like my foot was submerged in acid, I took that as a good sign.

"Have you met the Winchesters yet?" He asked glancing around the playground.

"Uh, no, I have not met the Winchesters yet," I said lying through my teeth. I still didn't know why Cas didn't want me to talk to them, but I sure wanted to find out.

"So, uh, Cas, why exactly could I not be friends with the winche-" I was cut off by the absolute last person I wanted to see right now.

"Katie? Sam said I was being mean earlier and I just wanted to say I'm sorry and I didn't mean it. Even though some of it was true. I mean you DO look like a- hey who is this guy?" Dean asked looking at Cas who was standing beside me.

"My name is Ca-"

"Carter, his name is Carter," I said quickly.

"Hey Carter, I'm Dean Winchester," Dean said giving him a smirk.

"Hello Dean, Katie could I talk to you for a moment?" Cas said looking between me and Dean.

"Sure," I said following Cas towards the rock wall.

"I told you not to get involved with the Winchesters! Why didn't you obey me? Can't you see I'm trying to protect you? I've seen what happens to you in the future and I'm just trying to protect you!" He said angrily.

"Cas, chill ok? I'm not 'involved' with the Winchesters, we aren't even friends, ok? Why would you want to protect me? I can protect myself just fine!" I retorted, crossing my arms over my chest.

"No you can't Katie! You don't understand what dangers are told in your future, you don't deserve them," he said.

"Whatever Cas," I said turning away.

"Katie, why did you tell Dean my name was Carter?" Cas questioned.

"I don't know, I just didn't know what to say. They wouldn't have taken you being an angel as well as I did," You replied looking at the ground.

"Oh," he said quietly, "well thank you."

I heard the sound of wings and I looked up and he was gone. "No problem," I said as the bell rang, bringing class back into session.
