A/n - this is going to take place a week after Katie meets Sam and Dean. They are all good friends and Cas shows up sometimes but he always says goodnight to Katie.
"So what do you think?" Dean asked.
"I don't know, I mean I've only hunted with my dad before. And even then it was something small, nothing this big," I said biting my lip.
"Come on Katie! We won't let you get hurt, and you said yourself that you wanted to go in a hunt. Here's your chance," Sam said eagerly.
"Your not gonna let me say no are you?" I questioned, already feeling myself give in.
"Nope," Dean said giving me his signature smirk.
"Fine," I said throwing my hands in the air. "When's the job?"
"Uh, tonight," Sam said.
"What? I thought we would have time to prepare! I mean guys, this is a WEREWOLF! It's not just a regular old salt-and-burn," I exclaimed.
"Katie, chill, we will be fine. Me and Sammy have dealt with WAY worse," Dean said.
"Ok, but I'm bringing Cas," I said crossing my arms.
"Come on Katie, he is such a weirdo!" Dean groaned.
"No he isn't! Sam likes him, don't you Sam?" I asked.
"Uh, he is kind of strange. The way he talks, and just randomly shows up. its freaky," he said.
"Fine I won't bring him, anything I should bring?"
"Got any silver?" Sam asked.
"Yeah," I said showing my knife.
"Great, you're good," Dean said standing up. "We will see you at 11:00, be ready."
~time skip to 11:00~
When I finally snuck out of the house and went to the gas station where we decided to meet up, I was super nervous.
"Hey guys," I said walking up to them.
"Hey," they said.
"Ok so, where is the werewolf?" I asked.
"We think it's in these woods," Dean said gesturing to the woods behind the gas station.
I took a deep breath. "Ok, let's do this," I said walking towards the woods. At the edge of the woods, we all stopped.
"Ok, me and Katie will go through this side, Sammy you take that side. If anyone gets in trouble yell," Dean said looking at both of us. "Got it?"
Sam and I nodded.
I hugged Sam tight. "For luck," I said grinning. It's funny because even though we have only known each other for a week, he feels like my brother. I walked over to Dean.
"Don't I get something 'for luck'?" Dean asked grinning.
"Yeah," I said, "me."
"Fair enough," he said and into the woods we went.

We finally found the werewolf in an abandoned building at the edge of the woods, but Sam was nowhere to be seen.
"Dean, where is Sam?" I asked.
"Hush, I don't know, he might still be out in the woods looking for the werewolf. We will kill the werewolf and then find Sam. Now be quiet!"
"Ok, ok, how do we kill it?"
"YOU will have to stab it in the heart. I, will shoot it,"
We slowly crept forward, and Dean started to go in for the kill. I noticed another werewolf towards the back of the building and slowly walked towards it. I walked forward and was about to go for it but I hesitated and turned my head to look at Dean. Suddenly the werewolf turned and went to attack Dean. I instinctively started to run towards him when the other werewolf heard what was going on and came to help the other werewolf. Dean shot at the first werewolf as the second one came up ready to pounce on Dean. I ran over and stabbed the second one in the back. It howled and turned to me just as Dean took the shot. I stood still listening for any other werewolves, adrenaline pumping in my veins.
"Did we get them?" I asked.
"Yeah, I think so," Dean replied.
"Are you hurt?"
He scoffed, "Katie, I never get hurt."
"Yeah sure," I said rolling my eyes. "Should we find Sam now?"
"Yeah, lets go," he said looking around.
"SAM," we yelled looking for him. We finally found him, passed out.
"Sammy? Sam, hey, wake up," Dean said shaking him. Sam woke up a little out of it.
"W-whats going on guys? Did we kill the werewolves?" Sam asked panicked.
"Yeah we got them. Are you ok though?" I asked worried.
"What? Oh, yeah, I'm fine," he said standing up.
"Ok great, can we leave now? This place gives me the creeps," I said shivering. We all started to walk back, but me and Dean stayed back a little bit, making small talk.
"Hey, uh, thanks," He said nervously.
"For what?" I asked glancing at him.
"For back there. Killing that werewolf, I had no idea there were two. And I just wanted to say thanks, for saving my life, kinda." he replied blushing.
"No problem, besides can't let you get away that easy, can we?" I said nudging his shoulder.
"Nope can't let that happen," he said putting his arm around my shoulders. I grinned to myself. I should hunt with the Winchesters more often.
