It had been a few days. Jabr and Akari were sitting at their table as they were eating sandwiches in the mess hall. It was just them in the room as it was sometime after lunch. The overhead display was on, but it was showing a commercial and currently on mute. Ericson walked in and saw the two comfortably sitting.
"There you two are....," Ericson said as he got close.
"Ericson," Jabr waved his hand to him. "Come and have a seat with us."
"I am assuming you already had lunch?" Akari remarked.
"I am good," he replied as he went and had a seat next to them. He sat across from them as he put the tablet down.
"How goes the whole project?" Jabr asked.
"Yeah, how is Minerva?" Akari asked.
"Minerva is fine. It is pretty much the same day as before. I checked up her system, and there are no errors or anything."
"That is good to hear," Jabr said. "It is too bad that she is confined to that one room. She would get to learn everyone if she was out of that place and walking about."
"You took the words right out of my mouth," Ericson said. "I came to you two in need of help."
"What do you need?" Akari said, putting her sandwich down.
"Minerva is an advanced AI, but she is missing an important thing right now. She needs to be mobile. What you said is exactly what I need for her."
"How can we help?"
Ericson put the tablet down on the table. He pressed a couple of buttons as the whole thing turned on. A holographic display emitted from the screen, similar to what his left arm was able to do. The image reflected a skeletal structure similar to a human skeleton. The image held still but would slowly rotate in the air.
"I am in need of an android frame. I can take the quantum computer and attach it to the center portion of an android frame and connect it to the body itself. She would be able to fully operate the mechanical body. The catch is that I don't know how to easily get a hold of one."
"Would it be possible to get a companion bot and have it modified to carry her.....well, what is her?" Jabr asked.
"I was thinking of that. The catch is that I need to have a couple of frames to do this."
"Why not just put an order and wait for it to arrive?"
"Minerva has put together her own modifications that she wants to have to the mechanical frame since this will be her body. She doesn't want just to have any ordinary android body."
"She is making demands from you?" Jabr mocked him.
"No......I just want to make her happy, that is all."
Akari seemed to chuckle a little bit. "Why do you want to appease her so much?"
"It's my job to make sure that she reaches full potential. I created her, and I want to see what her program can do."
"Hmmm...." Akari smiled. "It sounds a little more than that, but whatever.....you need a companion bot frame?"
"Yes, I plan on putting an order for one of the latest Hellas Planitia Android Industries Model 101. I will take it apart, but I will need more parts to make the modifications necessary."
