"Aurora!" A cry echoed in the room.

Aurora was met with her sister who was standing in the middle of the room, a terrified look on her face. She rushed towards her, her wings stretching out to embrace her in a hug. "Plum, are you ok?"

Plum glanced at her sister, tears in her eyes. "Aurora, help me! That dragon is going to kill me!" She whimpered. "He's too strong! I tried with all my might to get him out of here... but.. I couldn't. I'm sorry, Aurora, I've failed our kingdom," Plum rasped. Blood stained her chest.

"Don't say that! You haven't failed just yet, Plum. We will fight him together," Aurora promised. That idiot SkyWing! He'll pay for killing Snowball and hurting my sister.

"Aw, how cute, the sisters are having a touching moment of reunion," Firefinch spat, sulking into the room.

Aurora whipped around, her lip curled. "You idiot! You'll pay for everything you've done!' She screamed. She was about to leap on the dragon, but then something moved by the entrance.

Gellis slowly walked in the room, his eyes dark. He held a small dagger in his jaws.

"Gellis, thank the three moons that you're here!" Aurora gasped. "Help us beat this SkyWing out of here!" She growled. She flexed her talons, her wings spreading out. "There's three of us, and one of you. If we fight, you know that we'll win."

"Do you think so?" Firefinch questioned, raising his head. He flicked an ear, looking annoyed. "I'm an animus, Aurora. It doesn't matter how much comrades you have on your side. I can still beat you."

"I don't care. I can still win. All I have to do is cut your throat," Aurora snarled, stepping closer. "And I'd be glad to."

Firefinch sighed. He sat down suddenly, and his right wing lifted to cover his snout. He began to snicker. His piercing yellow eyes met with Aurora's. "I'd love to fight you, but I'd probably kill you. My goal isn't to kill you, it's to take you back to our kingdom so my mother can have fun with you."

"I won't allow you to take me anywhere," Aurora snarled. She was about to leap on him, but stopped in her tracks when a pained roar erupted from behind her. She whipped around and saw Gellis holding her sister in the air. The dagger that was in his jaws was now lodged into her throat.

"Hey!" Aurora cried out. She lunged at Gellis but was suddenly grabbed from behind. Red scales flashed in front of her as Firefinch pulled her back towards him. "Let go of me!" She ordered.

Firefinch ignored her. He held her tightly, making sure she watched as her sister got killed right in front of her. "Sorry, Aurora, but we need her dead so that she doesn't stir up trouble."

"Stop! Don't kill her! Kill me instead, just spare her life!" Aurora yowled. She struggled in the large SkyWing's grip, but she soon realized that everything was over. She couldn't stop the event happening in front of her. Her sister was going to die, and there was nothing she could do.

Gellis dropped Plum, smirking. "Finally, the brat is dead," he hissed softly, glaring at Plum on the floor.

Plum lay on the floor, her eyes wide open and filled with terror. She gasped for air, but all that came out was a gargle. Blood filled her mouth and pooled under her head.

"Gellis!" Aurora snapped. "What's wrong with you? Why would you betray us? Aren't you an IceWing? Aren't you loyal to our kingdom?" She questioned, baring her teeth.

Gellis turned and gave her a cold stare. "Tch. I was loyal, up until you two got in my way," he hissed. "Hybrids deserve no place in this world," he growled. "They deserve to die. I want you dead too, but what you'll be going through soon is good enough."

"You cold-hearted monster!" Aurora snarled. Tears stung her eyes. Why... why is this happening? Why did I have to be born a hybrid? I wouldn't have suffered this fate, and neither would my sister.

Suddenly, Plum got up in a flash. She yanked the dagger from her throat, and while screaming in agony, stabbed Gellis in the back of his neck.

"Crap! Gellis!" Firefinch hissed.

Gellis roared in pain, his eyes wide. He fell to the floor, trying to stay alive. Plum grasped the dagger from his neck and pulled it out, making blood spurt out of the wound. Then, she collapsed on the ground, choking on her blood. Dark blue blood pooled under her quickly, and her body twitched one last time before going completely limp.

"Plum!" Aurora screamed. She struggled with all her might, trying to break free from Firefinch's grip. Three moons no! Why?! My sister is dead and I couldn't even do anything!

"Gellis is dead... whatever, I don't need him anymore," Firefinch growled. He grasped Aurora's head and slammed her down on the ground. Then everything went black.
