After Aurora had just gotten home, she worked with Hyacinth to cut the fruit into slices. Her stomach screamed with hunger as she did so. She placed the different fruit slices on their own stone-carved plate, then placed the thin stone carvings on a large wooden table, one that Hyacinth had just recently put together. Now they had to wait for the guests to arrive, which were some of Hyacinth's relatives.

The hut was slightly small, but still there were rooms that Aurora hadn't explored. She slithered through some flower-decorated vines, and found a slightly smooth, but rough wooden wall, which had shelves sticking out. She could hear voices speaking loudly outside, but she didn't want to come out. She found herself picking through the torn and tattered scrolls, her eyes gazing upon the titles. What is this?

"Aurora!"

Aurora quickly scrambled from the room after hearing her father's voice. At the entrance was her father, who was standing in front of a RainWing. The dragon was thin with dark purple scales. He had a few blue and yellow scales sprinkles throughout, as well as orange inside his wings.

"Come here, Aurora. This is Fruitcatcher," Hyacinth introduced. He placed his talons on his daughter's shoulder. "And Fruitcatcher, this is Aurora, my daughter."

Fruitcatcher nodded. "What a beautiful daughter!" He said, extending his talons. "My dragonets didn't want to come. Your mother is coming, right?" He asked.

"Yeah," Hyacinth answered. "And one of her aunt's dragonets."

Aurora glanced at Hyacinth. "Where's Apple?" She asked.

But before Hyacinth could answer, the sound of talons clicking on woods was heard behind them. Apple came his room, his head peaking from the long vines. "You wanted me?" He asked, his voice barely audible.

Aurora dipped her head at Fruitcatcher and Hyacinth, then turned and walked towards Apple. After going in his room, she recognized the large leafy nest that she had been on when she first met Hyacinth.

Their were shelves carved into the wooden wall, and she noticed a large wad of cobwebs on one shelf, as well as a large pile of moss on another shelf. There were a few large leaves on a shelf.

Apple took one of the leaves, smiling. The leaf smelled strong. "These are leaves enchanted by Snowcatcher. That friendly little hybrid. He was a bit crazy but besides that, he was great when he was alive. He enchanted these leaves to heal serious injuries. We used these on your wounds, especially that one on your arm," Apple explained. He turned back to the shelf, putting the leaf back in its spot. "But since he's dead, he can't enchant more. And we need more. We only have a few left."

Aurora glanced at him. "Well, I'm an animus. I could maybe enchant something."

Apple glanced at her, frozen. "Don't waste your powers on... leaves." He pointed to another shelf that had short vines. "And those.. they heal broken bones if wrapped around the area. Like arms or legs, or possibly your tail."

Aurora blinked. What caught her attention was the few lemons on the shelf. "What are lemons doing here?" She asked.

Apple jumped up, his eyes seemingly glowing. "Oh, right! Snowcatcher enchanted them too. Their juices heal infections. It stings, but at least it helps. Oh, and speaking of those lemons," Apple trailed off as he stretched forward to snatch a lemon. "I'm supposed to redress your wound." He pointed a talon to her arm.

Aurora gasped. "Really? Uh.. I think it's fine."

"Do you want an infection to kill you?" Apple prompted. His gaze became soft. "I'll be gentle, I promise." His arm came forward, his talons wrapping around her arm. He pulled her forward in a swift motion, peering close. His talons peeled the large leaves off slowly, and it revealed the nasty wound. He pressed his palm to the wound. "Feels a bit hot. And it looks swollen. Told you so."

Aurora winced as she looked at the wound. The dark flesh looked swollen, and it looked like it had slightly healed. Blue blood leaked from the deep, jagged hole. She tensed up as Apple held the lemon above her arm, then he squeezed it, making the juices leak onto Aurora's arm.

Aurora gasped as she felt the juices sink in. She felt a strong sting deep in her flesh, and she closed her eyes tight at the burning. She then felt the soft moss being wrapped around the her arm.

"It's over now. That wasn't so bad, right?" Apple questioned, not blinking as his emerald orbs stared at Aurora.

"N-not that bad," Aurora stammered, rubbing her arm.

"Hey, don't touch that," Apple warned. "Well, since that's done, let's go back. I'm hungry," he whined, his tail drooping. He stalked past her, heading out of the room.

Aurora headed after him. Why is Apple so obsessed with me? Her chest felt tight as she assumed what was wrong. He... likes me?
