She didn't know how long she had slept for, but by the time she woke up, it was already night time. Sakuya felt lonely, now that Keith was gone, and as she pondered on what to do for the night, she walked over to the living room. The clock showed 8 p.m., and she decided to cook dinner for herself before finishing it all and heading over to the bathroom to take a quick shower.
When she came back out, she only realized that she forgot to braid her silver-colored hair. "Oh well," she thought, "not like it's going to disturb me in the night." She walked to her side of the bed, and tucked herself in, knowing he couldn't come back anymore.
She dreamt of Keith, floating in an empty space. he saw her, and said, "You're dreaming right now." He smiled, knowing she was all well, and said, "The moment the principal asks you to do something, go with her. It's for the best to make sure no one dies later."
He then disappeared, and she stared at the empty space. In that moment, the entire space shook, waking her up with a jolt. She took off the blanket and walked over to the window, half-asleep, but what she saw shocked her.
Countless students were fighting against the Grim Reaper, dashing in and retreating the moment they had got close. She quickly cleaned herself, took some breakfast and headed straight for the school, not forgetting to bring a spare knife.
John was using his ice blade to fight off the Reaper's scythe, sparks flying everywhere as the metal collided with the freezing ice. Within a few hits, the scythe was frozen to the blade, but before he could make another move, it immediately came off and charged straight at his head. However, Sakuya came just in time to block the attack with a knife, and they both jumped backwards.
"Thanks." he said as he dashed to the side. Hinata was now beside her, charging up his attacks, and just as he dashed straight towards the Reaper to land a hit, an unknown force pulled him back while he was in the air, sending him back to where Sakuya was. It wasn't her who pulled him back, he thought, and he looked around to find whoever could have pulled him back when a voice in his head said, "Don't attack just yet, Hinata."
"Keith?"
"That's right. Stand back."
His presence disappeared, and Hinata, in a surge of fear, took a step back. The Reaper, who was silently glaring at him, suddenly teleported behind him, planning to slice his head off. Sakuya made her move by blocking the attack with her knife, then said, "Stand back. I'll take care of this."
She dragged down her knife and swung it to the left just as the Reaper was winding up an attack. It cut part of the cloak, but it regenerated immediately. Just as she was about to swing again, she instantly took back the knife and punched it in the head. Nothing but a mess of dark smoke came out, and just as she was surprised, the Reaper seized the opportunity and cut her right arm. It left a wound which wasn't that serious, but she instantly felt her life force start to drain itself. It was about to swing it again, but then gunshots rang out from her right, breaking the scythe.
She looked, and saw most of the crowd dispersing as Florencia and Derick, led by Alston, approached the battlefield, the wide lobby of the school. The scythe regenerated instantly, and Rose jumped in, punching the Reaper in the head before using her Light energy to tie it down to the ground. Todoroki followed up next with Ice and Fire, and they all stared at the Reaper as Derick handed Sakuya a bandage which she wrapped around her wound.
All of a sudden, a dark portal opened up below them and dragged them few meters away from the Reaper, who now had a dark aura around it. "Impossible." someone said. They saw Dominicron, who continued, "Its kill aura shouldn't be enabled at a time like this."
Shade was accompanying him, and the Reaper took a few steps forward. The aura diminished, but wings which looked like those from the books depicting the Grim Reaper sprouted out from its body, penetrating its cloak. It then grabbed the scythe in 2 hands, and dashed straight towards Sakuya. Hinata was about to stop it, but a different force pulled him back, and in an instant, a woman in her early 40s stopped the attack with her bare hands.
"The principal..." Rose said to herself, and turned to Sakuya, saying, "We're saved."
The principal, Rose called her, then let out an energy blast which sent the Reaper few meters back. She wore small earrings, along with a black cape covering her white clothes. She had long brown hair, and was fighting barehanded. The hand she used to stop the scythe didn't have a wound, and she was full of power, even stronger than anyone in the school.
The Reaper got up and was about to attack when she teleported behind him and did a kick, sending it straight down to the floor. Just as she jumped forward again, the wings of the Reaper took out her balance, and just as she fell, it nearly chopped off her head, if it weren't for Sakuya and Hinata crossing blades with the scythe. They dragged it back, and Hinata stabbed his sword in the Reaper before letting out a burst of light.
The rain then started, and the principal worriedly looked outside at the field before tapping Sakuya's shoulder and saying, "Follow me."
She remembered Keith's words, and followed her as she ran towards the field. They stopped in the middle, and Sakuya saw multiple items there: a knife, a sword, and the most eye-catching of all, a ball. "What's this?" she asked.
"Your dear cousin is the only one who can save this school. The last thing we need is the blood of a relative, and we have you." the principal said.
"So do I chop off an arm or something?" she replied, taking out her knife.
"Just a few drops will do."
She lightly sliced her right arm, the blood dripping onto the pile of things. The principal was then enveloped in light, before being absorbed into the ball, making it glow white. "So she is the core." she thought, as the sounds of a bell tolling were heard in the distance. Meanwhile, John was nearly killed when the Reaper looked in her direction. It charged straight towards her, but as she looked back, her right eye glowed brown, and with a little upwards swipe of her hand, a wall of dirt came up and blocked the attack.
The wall came down, revealing numerous knives around her, pointed at it. She waved her hand, and they all came raining down on it. She stared it down, but just as she was about to drag it away, it suddenly struck her leg, causing her to stagger a little. It then swung upwards, sending her into the air, a gaping wound at her chest, and it dashed everywhere as it tried to slice her into pieces. Dominicron tried to save her with an Electric rope, but it couldn't go near her, the Reaper slicing it up just as it reached within its range.
After a while, it stopped, and she fell to the ground. Blood riddled her entire body, her clothes all stained, and just as she was about to close her eyes for the last time, a healing sensation stronger than anything she'd encountered healed her in an instant. The Reaper was completely unaware of this, still menacingly walking towards the other spectators, and just as it was about to strike, a lightning bolt struck the place where the core was.
