Sara felt like she was continually falling in an endless loop through the empty void. She didn’t know if this was real or a dream all she knew was that she needed to wake up fast. While she had been trapped in the endless void, images appeared before her as if trying to send her a message. The missing half of the key floated by her and as she tried to reach out to grab it nothing was there anymore, her hand reached out into empty space. Down and down she continued to fall, bright lights flashed, the smell of polluted air filled her noise and loud sounds of numerous cars and people overwhelmed her senses. Suddenly she was underground, concrete jungle surrounded her and there oddly out of place stood a stone wall, ancient writing painted in gold created an archway, the writing in a language Sara did not understand.
She could feel that this was in fact the doorway to somewhere, it was the gateway to The Eternal Abyss. The chain around her neck started to move from her chest, calling her forward towards the doorway. The hole in the stone wall matched the shape of the key even if she had one piece. As Sara drew closer, that now searing pain moved rapidly throughout her body, she screamed out into the empty void but no sound was made or heard. The pain grew more intense each moment and then she screamed louder than she had never screamed before in her life, everything faded away and she was no longer in the empty void anymore but laying in a bed somewhere.
It took a moment for Sara to realise that she was back in her room in the Royal Witch’s Castle, how she had gotten here she had no idea. The pain she had felt was gone but her head still hurt and her vision was a little fuzzy. There was a face before her speaking words that didn’t register right away, whoever’s face it was they were beyond good looking, almost divine looking, “Am I in heaven?”, Sara spoke slurring her words. She shouldn’t be having such thoughts about a total stranger she had a girlfriend after all. Yet as her head stopped pouding and her vision cleared the face in front of her was in fact Isadora who chuckled at Sara’s comment, “Dora? What are you doing here” Sara spoke before her girlfriend could even get two words in.
Sara didn’t care how or why Isadora was here all that mattered was that she was happy to have her here. She was so excited that she sat up too fast and groaned, “Easy mio angelo, you need to rest, you've been through alot”. Sara couldn’t argue with Isadora because she knew she was right. So she laid back another groan escaping her lips and then a sigh as she reached to hold Isadora’s hand as her girlfriend sat on the bed where Sara lay. Isadora gripped her hand lightly, rubbing her thumb in slow circles over the skin of Sara’s hand causing her to relax and let a content sigh out. “How long was I out for?” Sara questioned looking at Isadora. There was a pause and Isadora’s thumb stopped moving for a moment, “Three or four days I think. I only arrived this morning. Lillian sent word to the Guardian Headquarters that something had happened, something involving you and that I should come here as soon as I could. I was still helping Guardian Nicole with everything but she was very understanding and let me come here to make sure you were alright. I was so worried”.
A lazy smile formed on Sara’s lips before reaching up to give Isadora a quick gentle kiss reassuring her girlfriend that she was okay. “I am okay now, thank you for coming. It means alot. What happ-” she was about to finish her question when the door opened and Lillian walked in, “Oh you're awake, I hope I am not interrupting anything” she spoke chuckling as she entered the room walking over to side hug Sara before sitting on the opposite side of the bed. “You gave us quite the scare girl, I didn’t know what was going to happen so I called Isadora just in case. I had a feeling that you would want her here” Sara smiled and thanked Lillian before speaking, “What happened? The last thing I remember was some old lady grabbed for the..” Sara stopped for a moment then sat up again in bed, regeting right away about doing it but she quickly looked between Lillian and Isadora, “The necklace! I had the necklace and it was some kind of key I think, I don’t know everything is still kind of fuzzy”, Isadora’s hand gently touched Sara’s arm to calm her.
