This is taking place in present time, will not follow the original plot exactly and I have made some changes including Cedric surviving. This is taking place in year five.

Athena's POV

I sat on the train after saying goodbye to my mom. This is my 5th year at hogwarts and I'm ready to see everyone!

"Hey Athena!" My best friend Maggie said sitting down

"Hey, how was your summer?" I asked her

"It was great, however I had to go to Malfoy Manor for a dinner party with my parents." She huffed in annoyance

"I'm sure it wasn't that bad." I said

"Well when you have to be around Pansy all night it isn't too fun."

I laughed and we kept talking

"Hey Athena" Harry said blushing in the doorway to the cart I was in

"Hi Harry!" I said sweetly

"How are you?" He asked nervously

"I'm good-" I was cut off by Hermione pushing Harry along

"Ignore him, these boys are like dogs." She said

I laughed and turned back towards Maggie

"So have you talked to Cedric?" I asked her

"No not since we broke up" She said sadly

"Honey, maybe you two can work it out!" I said trying to find the bright side

"I don't think he will want to."

"You never know until you try" I said smiling

"Shut up! When are you gonna find one of these boys that are worth your time?" She smirked

"Huh?" I asked raising a eyebrow

"Please! You can't be that blind. Every boy here is dying to take you on a date." She said

"That's not true" I said

"It most certainly is. How can you not see it?" She asked

"There are much prettier girls then me. I'm not here to find a boyfriend but to get better with magic." I said rolling my eyes

"But a boyfriend sure would make it fun!" She winked

"Whatever" I laughed

We kept talking until we arrived and started walking off the train to a cart.

"It seems you even caught the eye of daddy's boy over there." Maggie whispered and nodded towards the Slytherin group waiting by the train

I turned and saw Draco Malfoy.

"He is an ass" I laughed

"All I'm saying is you are steak and the boys at hogwarts are starving lions." She laughed shrugging her shoulders

"Ew why do you have to put it like that!" I said and playfully hit her shoulder

I turned and looked at Draco who was staring at me. When he saw me look at him he smirked and looked away. Okay he is attractive but that doesn't change he is the biggest ass here

Once I got everything put away in my private room I threw on my uniform. Which now was too small since I gained some weight over the summer. My skirt now ended at my upper thigh and my shirt won't button all the way up. It also doesn't help that when I gained weight my regular bras are a size smaller causing my boobs to fill over. I wore sports bras all summer and didn't need one of my regular ones. I also didn't think to try on my uniform so now it looks like I need to buy a new one.
