Maranwen giggled in the bath when Thranduil washed out her hair. It was covered in dirt and twigs with the occasional leaf. He sighed deeply. "I told you not to roll in the dirt nin elloth pin." He scolded with a frown as he picked out sticks and leaves. Maranwen only giggled, "but it was fun ada! I'm a wood elf!" She squealed, Thranduil laughed to himself as he shook his head.

When Maranwen got out, Thranduil wrapped her in a towel and took her to her chambers. He sat her down and got into her wardrobe. He picked out her nightgown that he'd sown himself. He dressed Maranwen in it, she giggled. "Look ada! I'm a princess!" She squealed, Thranduil chuckled. "Yes you are my little flower." He purred. He sat her down in front of the vanity and started to brush out her long brown locks. "Ada! Can you do curls!?" Maranwen asked excitedly as she turned to Thranduil, he smiled down at her. "I can." He replied softly. Maranwen smiled widely as she turned back around. She watched her father in the mirror. Thranduil hummed an elven tune as he brushed his daughter's hair.

When Maranwen's hair was damp, but dry enough to work with. Thranduil cut out strips of cloth to the length of his daughter's hair and then wet them before wrapping them around her hair. Maranwen bounced in her chair, "stay still melethel." Thranduil scolded, Maranwen obeyed and stayed still. When it was all finished, Thranduil put Maranwen to bed. He was tucking her in, when she looked up at him, "ada can you sing to me?" She asked, her voice soft. Thranduil smiled as he sat down, "of course nin elloth pin." He replied, he pet his daughter's forehead, coaxing her to sleep as he sang gently. The lullaby he'd written for her. His little starlight. Maranwen was fast asleep to her father's voice, Thranduil smiled as he stood, he kissed her forehead and whispered sweetly, "goodnight nin Ellim." He breathed. He stood tall and walked out. He headed to his own chambers for his rest for the night.

The next morning, Thranduil felt force on his bed, he groaned and opened an eye. He couldn't contain the laugh that escaped his throat as his daughter's big eyes stared at him. "Ada! Morning, ada!" Maranwen squealed excitedly, "good morning my love." Thranduil smiled warmly as he grabbed Maranwen's waist and threw her below him, she giggled hysterically as her father pinned her to the bed. He kissed her cheek before violently attacking her with her with his finger tips. Maranwen screamed as she squirmed, her father's fingers drug across her silk gown. She kicked and laughed hysterically. "Ada! Stop!" She wailed as she laughed uncontrollably. Thranduil laughed just as hard as he tickled his elfing against her will. "Ada!" Maranwen squealed, her face going red as she laughed harder. They were right in the middle of a tickle battle, when a throat cleared. "My lord?" Thranduil looked up, he immediately put on a straight face and stood from the bed. "What is it?" He asked standing tall and keeping a straight face. Elros started to have a serious conversation with him. Maranwen stuck her tongue out from the corner of her mouth as she crawled across the bed. Elros watched her as he continued to talk, not breaking the seriousness.

When Maranwen was at the end of the bed, she poked Thranduil's side, he inched away from her with a twitch. She giggled, "not now nin elloth." He scolded with a frown. Maranwen sat up on her knees and pouted. Then an idea struck up. She smiled deviously as she got off the bed and went up to Thranduil. He still discussed serious matters, Elros's eyes watching the princess behind the king. A small smile at the corner of his lips. Maranwen waited for the most inappropriate time and then attacked, Thranduil continued to talk as he started to move from side to side in an attempt to get away from the abuse. Small chuckles escaping him, Elros's smile grew wider. Before long Maranwen struck his weakest spot and Thranduil bursted into laughter, Elros tried to contain himself, but he couldn't. He let out a hard laugh and that was it. Maranwen smirked as she continued to tickle her father, reducing him to tears from laughing, Elros laughed just hard as the king. When she was finished, Thranduil caught his breath with Elros and looked down at his daughter, ready to scold her. But their eyes met, Maranwen smiled sweetly up at him and hugged him, "gi melin ada!" She giggled as she ran off. Thranduil cleared his throat and looked back to his guard, "you can't be mad at that face my lord." Elros smiled, Thranduil returned the grin. "No, but revenge is being planned." He smirked.

When Maranwen went back to her room, she started to take out the cloth. She whined when it tugged on her locks. "Ada!" She wailed. Luckily for her, Thranduil was already walking in, he chuckled. "Do you need help nin elloth pin?" He said softly, "yes!" Maranwen wailed. Thranduil laughed again, "here let me." He said as he gently untangled the cloth. "Ada! Can you do ropes?!" Maranwen asked, Thranduil chuckled. "Yes nin elloth pin." He purred. His large fingers carefully braided the locks of hair. Maranwen waited patiently.

By the time Maranwen became restless, Thranduil was done, four rope braids tied back with twine and a diamond hairpin. Maranwen ran out of her room, "Ellim!" Thranduil called, the elfling stopped. "You cannot go out in your nightgown." Thranduil explained, Maranwen trudged back to her father, he got into her wardrobe and got out an elegant dress, he knew it'd be dirty in an hour, but at least she'd look nice for that long. Thranduil dressed his daughter and fixed her hair, "now run along." He says nudging her softly. Maranwen runs out, her hair flowing behind her and her pin bouncing. Thranduil chuckled as he cleaned up before heading to the throne room.
