AFTER A LONG ANXIOUS NIGHT at the hospital, Jenna had finally been discharged.

With the help of Matt and Jeremy, the pair carried Jenna to the soft plush couch as the two Gilbert girls followed closely behind, carrying an assortment of fresh flowers and hot food.

"What kind of idiot runs into a knife?" The redhead mumbled as the two boys cautiously lay her down on the couch

The Gilbert siblings exchanged glances - all except Blake as her undivided attention was on the paper bag of pre-made food and white lilies that Jeremy had handed her.
The youngest Gilbert was funny like that, he was one of the only people that wasn't afraid to order Blake around.

She set the food and flowers on the bench and made her way back into the lounge

"I've done it a million times at the grill" Matt sympathised and Jenna snorted

"You're just being nice"

"....yeah, you caught me"

Jenna shifted on the couch and Jeremy bounced his leg — something Blake noticed he did when he had something on his mind.
He was too much like her.

Jeremy looked at his sisters nervously, sparing a lingering glance in Blake's direction.
He could easily lie to Elena, but he could never lie to Blake.
"Listen, I have to go out for a bit" the youngest Gilbert grabbed his bag and practically ran out the front door before either Gilbert girls could say a word

The raven haired twin looked at her sister who didn't seem bothered by Jeremy's sudden exit.

She then nodded at Elena to signal her exit and put on her jacket, following after her troublesome brother.

Elena and Blake's relationship was strained, they only talked if absolutely necessary.
Ever since their parents death they had been pushed apart.
Elena hated Blake for what she had done.

It was her fault were the words that circled In the brunettes mind on a constant loop every time they crossed paths.
Every chance Elena got, she pointed out Blake's mistakes.
Blake knew that Elena hated her, and she didn't blame her.
