Taboo Eros (Severus Snape x Student)

=Chapter 5=

So this is how I imagined Sage looking like.

Professor Snape stood in front of his desk and walked around to the front of it with one quick motion. He leaned back against his desk and crossed his arms. We stood there in silence. I made eye contact with his and couldn't help but smile again.

"Would you like me to give you a potion that would reverse the effects of the elixir?" Snape asked, but not in his usual normal voice. It was almost like he cared.

"No thank you, sir. I don't mind feeling this way at all." I quickly replied. I honestly did not want this feeling to end. It was like I was high off of my feelings.

"You should smile more. It looks good on you." He blurted out catching me off guard. The only thing I could do was hug him. He stiffened in my arms and I laid my head on his chest. I took in his scent. The cinnamon from fire whiskey and the scent of old parchment. I let out a deep breath and whispered, "Thank you".

I felt his arms slowly make its way around my waist. I enjoyed this feeling so much. All of my worries were gone and I was contempt. Snape let out a deep breath and I felt him finally relax.

BOOM!

We both jumped back from each other. Snape was gone with an instant towards the back of the classroom. A cauldron's contents had blown up from a student leaving the burner on.

I couldn't help myself, but laugh.

Snape's attention snapped to me.

"What's so funny?" He asked in a serious manner.

"Honestly, sir. I have no idea. I'm just feeling great and can't help but laugh." I held my stomach as it ached from laughing.

Snape flicked his wand and the room started to clean itself. He made his way back towards me. Only a few inches away from me. I craved his touch and warmth again. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a vial. I took in his looks again and his face was stern.

"Drink this and leave Ms. Davis." He was a stern as could be.

I nodded and took the vial from him taking it down as I did the first.

Within moments, I felt all of the emotions of dread and loneliness hit me like a brick wall. My eyes burned as tears started to roll down my cheeks. I ran out of his classroom and went straight to the Black Lake. There was a huge tree there that I would always go to when I wanted to be away from everyone. Alone to my thoughts and time to collect my pride.

I rolled up my pants and made my way into about knee height of water. The water was usual frigged cold, but at this point I was numb. I started to skip rocks across the water. Why was he so nice to me and then a second later he was cold and short? Why did he let me see a glimpse of that? Why did he even hug back? Why was I even in this bloody situation? Ugh, not only do I have to avoid Lyra and her goons, but now Snape. I walked out of the water and sat under the tree. I sat there and closed my eyes. I listened to the wind, the sound of the creatures from the forest and the water rushing onto the shore. I was there long enough for the Sun to start setting. Ugh, I guess its time to go back.

I got up and started to put my shoes on. I drug myself back to the Castle and went straight to my room. I didn't want to see anyone nor was I hungry.

"Sage!" I heard someone call out. I turned to see Em. She looked worried.

I replied with a simple. "Hi".

"Where have you been? I looked all over for you besides your Common Room of course."

I didn't say anything. She took another looked at me and hugged me.

"I know something is wrong. You don't have to tell me until you are ready." She added.

The feeling of someone who actually cared enough to worry about me here at Hogwarts is something new to me. Maybe actually talking about it would be better than bottling it up. I mean I actually have someone to talk to. I hugged her back and the tears just started to flow.

"Do you want to take a walk? I stole some food from dinner and I'm sure you could use something to eat." She gestured to her bag. I nodded.

We ended up making it to the Astronomy Tower and Em took off her Robe and placed it on the ground for us to sit on. She started empting the contents of her bag. She literally brought the feast with her. I caught a whiff of the food and my stomach started to growl. Em looked at me.

"You better eat before your insides decides to eat itself."

"Thank you for this." I said as she stuffed her face with food. She nodded and attempted to smile. Of course, I followed right after and stuffed my face. We sat there enjoying each other's company in silence looking at the stars. I sighed and decided to tell her what happened.

"So you wanna hear what happened?" I asked her, still looking out at the stars.

"Only if you want to tell me." She replied.

I didn't know the best way to start, but from the beginning.

"So Snape called me back into his classroom and well you know how I was with that elixir. He told me that a smile looked good on me and that I should have one more often. Of course, I was already giddy and I hugged him. I couldn't help it. He hugged me back.."

Someone cleared their throat. It wasn't Em. It came from behind us. We booth shot to our feet and saw that it was Professor Dumbledore.

"Now what are two young girls like yourselves doing out of your rooms at this time at night?" He asked stroking his beard. He already knew the answer, but wanted to here us out.

I started, "Well sir it's my fault".

Em cut me off, "Sir, it was actually my fault. Sage was having a bad day and I knew she needed some company. So I took food from dinner and brought her here where we could talk in private."

"Ah yes, girl talk huh?" Professor Dumbledore asked.

We both nodded in agreement.

"Well off you go then to bed."

"Yes sir." We replied in unison.

We got all of our stuff together and started to walk of to our perspective destinations. We bid our goodbyes at the split in the hallway. I got into bed and closed my eyes trying to relax from everything that happened today. I didn't remember much after that as I guess I fell asleep.
