I enjoyed the feeling, the warmth and the company of just being next to him. I rolled over and snuggled my head into his chest, tangling my legs with his. I was so relaxed. The sounds of his breathing and his heartbeat put me back to sleep almost instantly.

I stretched my arms out almost immediately trying to feel for him. He was gone. My eyes shot open and the bed was empty. Then a smell hit my nose, bacon! I got up and followed it to where it originated. Severus was in the kitchen cooking. I tip-toed to him and hugged him from the back. He didn't look at me, but said, "sit" almost coldly. I started to get a bit nervous. What had happened? He is doing the same thing he did in the classroom.

I obediently sat at the small table. He put a plate in front of me with a huge breakfast and a cup of orange juice. He slumped down onto the chair across from me and sighed.

"What's wrong?" I asked taking my first bite.

"Sage, this can not happen." He said gesturing between us.

I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

"We are breaking rules. I don't break rules." He added. At this point, I was sobbing heavily. Everything seemed so fine last night and now it's not. Does he not feel the draw that we have towards each other. I knew this was a bad idea to begin with.

"It's time for you to go to your classes." He spoke one last time. I shot up and ran out of the room. I went straight to my room. I closed all the blinds on my windows and laid on my bed. There was no way I could go to any of my classes. Fuck it, I'm staying right here. I laid there going through ways of crying and then anger towards Severus. I just couldn't process any of it. I felt hopeless and drained physically and mentally.

Severus POV 

She stormed out of the room tears rolling down her face. I had to end as much as it pained me. This was the first time since Lily that I had felt complete, but she does not need to be involved with me. I am trouble. Little does she know I'm a Death Eater. It's best she didn't find out. I honestly don't understand what came over me to chance it with her. I know how to control myself, but it is something about her that brings me to open up. Hell, I did fine since her third year. Why now? Maybe it is because I knew she getting closer to finishing here at Hogwarts. I shook my head, dismissing the thoughts as a knock came to my door.

"Come in." I growled. It was Albus.

"Ah Severus. Did I catch you at a bad time?" Albus asked as he sat down at the table where Sage was just sitting. I shook my head.

"This chair is still warm, Severus. Can I guess that it was Ms. Davis?" He giggled.

"It was." I shot at him. Damn this man for knowing everything.

"She is such a bright witch, isn't she?" Albus reached into his pocket and pulled out a sack of lemon drops. I nodded in agreement with him.

"What do you want, Albus?" I asked coldly.

He smiled at me, "Now now, no need to be rude. I just come to tell you that If you do pursue a relationship with Ms. Davis please keep it discreet. We mustn't promote these things."

"Nothing will happen and has happened between her and I, Albus" I spat.  The memories of her this morning with tears in her eyes were to blame for the temper. I hurt her and I never should have pursued her to begin with. This all never would have happened.

I huffed and Albus raised an eyebrow. He knew, he just wanted me to say it. This man frustrates me beyond belief.

"Fine. Yes, she was here, but it is over." I quickly dismissed.

Albus nodded and stood.

"Love knows no bounds, Severus." He said to me with a smile.

"Good day." He added and he trotted out of my chambers leaving me with my thoughts.

Sage POV

I sat in the dark for hours with crying and being mad at myself for something that I knew would never happen.  At least, I wasn't crying any more now. I was planning ways to show Severus what he is missing.

I looked at the time and I had about twenty minutes before Potions. I bet Em was wondering where the hell I was too. I had so much to tell her. I quickly took a shower and used a potion that I made for bad days like this to clear my red eyes. I put on my long sleeve white shirt, my Slytherin tie and vest. For once, I also let my hair thick slightly curled hair down. Instead of pants this time, I dug out my skirt which we unfortunately had to have one for school requirements. Time to show a little skin. I grabbed my book bag and headed out for the Potions Classroom. I found Em already seated and joined her. She did a double take.

"Are you okay?" She asked. I smiled at her and replied with "Perfect". She raised and eyebrow. She knew something was up.

"We will chat later." She said as Severus marched in slamming the door behind him. I straightened myself up taking off my tie and unbuttoning the first few buttons so some cleavage would show. This wasn't like my usual self, but no one pays attention to me so screw it. I'm going to have Severus crawling back to me in no time.

Severus pivoted on his heels and started to instruct the class. He glanced around the room and stopped when he noticed I was in attendance. His eyes almost looked of sadness for a split second and then replaced it with his usual scowl. He continued with his instruction.

"Today you will be making, Amortentia. It is on page three hundred and twenty-three. Begin."

I watched him as he walked over to his desk and sat down behind it. He looked right up to me taking in the missing tie and my unbuttoned shirt. His eyes got big and I saw him gulp. He quickly looked down and started to grade papers.

Em and I got started on the potion. We worked quickly and finished it probably in record time.

We figured to give it the smell test.

"What's it smell like to you?" Em asked.

I bent over the table and took a long deep inhale of the potion.

"Mint and cinnamon. What about you?" I looked at her, but her attention was behind me. I quickly turned my head and Severus stood behind me. I blushed. He had to have seen a lot of skin since I was bent over the table like that.

"Finished already?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes sir." Em replied.

"Very well." He spoke as he walked off to the next table of students.

We sat down and Em didn't hesitate to ask right away, "So where were you this morning?" She then gestured to my unbuttoned shirt and skirt.

I moved my stool closer to her and in a low voice told her everything that happened.

"He does not deserve you one bit. He can't continue you to throw you on an emotional roller coaster because he is not ready to love." She angrily spoke almost too loud. I put a finger to my mouth and shushed her.

"So what are you going to do?" She then asked in a whisper.

"I'm going to show him what he is missing." I then winked at her and smiled.

Severus dismissed the class.

"Alright, I'm going to my other class. I'll see you at dinner and we can talk more." Em said quickly as she sauntered off to her last class. I turned around quickly to head back to my room, but and I bumped into someone.
