I quickly turned around noticing the man standing in front of me. His sinister smile made me completely lose confidence in my rescue.

"I see you found out who I was Miss. Clark. Well done. I do think it's quite funny how you oh-so-sneakily followed me home." I stared at him in horror. I was hidden! "What? Think I didn't notice?" His loud laughter filled the air along with the thick smell of iron.

"Honestly, I thought you'd be longer. But I guess not. You got right to it didn't you?"

I now realized he was only a foot away from me. Still hearing my sister whimpering, I asked him a simple question trying to hide my fear. "Why are you doing this? What did we ever do to you?" As if incapable to mask my fear, a tear rolled down my cheek. Not entirely because of him, but because of what will happen to my sister and I. "Don't act like you don't know. YOU DO KNOW!"he suddenly yelled. Crying even more I back away. "I promise I don't. I have no idea why this is happening. Just tell me what did we do?!" He looked at me for a second then said,

"you're parents are the reason why I'm doing this. It's their fault. Therefore it's your fault." He said. His voice dripping with venom.

"I still don't understand. Our parents are dead! They've been dead for 5 years!" I yelled. Suddenly he grabbed my hair and threw me to the ground.

"They killed her! My sweet Annabelle. She was my only sister and they killed her. She was only 7! The night your parents died was the same night my sister died. They were too drunk to realize they were on the wrong side of the road and before I had the time to swerve, our cars collided. Annabelle died instantly. But me, I survived." As he relived the memory, he looked more vulnerable. But as quick as it came, it left. His face was now hard and menacing. "You both deserve to die. My sister never deserved that."

Then, in a quick motion he ran towards me.

Using quick reflexes, I dodged his tackle. Searching for something, anything that could knock him out. Across the room, I spotted the glass vase near my sister. Running towards her as fast as I could with Dr. Ryan hot on my trail I picked it up. With out looking behind me I jerked the glass around as fast as I could with my eyes closed. Hoping it would make contact.

When I heard the sound of glass shattering, I know it did. After the glass fell to the floor I heard someone fall as well.
