The next day I woke up with the sun shining through my window. I turned around to see that it was 7pm and my first-class potions starts in two hours. I got up, took a quick shower, got dressed, did my make-up, grabbed my bag and headed out of my room to get to the great hall to eat breakfast.
After a while going through the castle, I got lost. It was my first day here so I didn't really know where everything is. To my luck Daphne and Pansy already went out for breakfast and haven't wait for me. I walked in empty halls with no plan where to go. Suddenly I heard a voice behind me "Need help, my lady". I turned around to see only him standing behind me with his lips curled up into a smirk. I looked him in the eyes "I- I got lost. The castle is kinda big. Can you tell me where the Great Hall is?" I asked him trying to speak as confident as I can out of shock that he stood behind me. He walked towards me with still that smirk of his on his face as a bell rang and the sound of it echoed through the empty corridors. "Give me your timetable "he said now with natural expression. I searched in my bag for it and when I finally found it, he grabbed it and looked at me with a faith smile. "We have almost every class together, except for muggle studies, but I'm pretty sure your great in that one" he teased me and waited for my reaction. "Don't forget that I'm a pureblood too, Malfoy. Now you know my classes can you please show me where the potions class is because if you heard the bell, class starts in 5 minutes" I snapped back annoyed by him. He raised one eyebrow and started to walk. "C'mon then I won't wait forever." I quickly grabbed my stuff and took off a fast pace to catch up with him. Lightly out of breath I reach him, and we walk together to potions class with good 5 feet between us. ----------------------------------------------------------This day was exhausting. First I had potion, then care of magical creatures, where this odd teacher showed us I think it was called Hippogriff. After lunch Daphne, Pansy, Blaise and I had a free period so we went in the library to some assignments the teachers gave us. We had in almost every class homework and I'm still sitting here in my room at 10 pm on it. After dinner I decided to go on a walk around the lake. It was beautiful when the sunset was behind the lake. When I finished my homework, I looked over my phone and saw that it was already 10:30 pm. Fuck I'm late. I grabbed a sweatshirt and ran out of my dorm to Pansy and Daphne's. We said that we would meet every day to spill tea, you know. "Pansy, Daphne I'm so sorry. I had so much work to do and forgot the ti-" I got interrupted by Daphne telling me it would be ok since their first year here was also stressful, but they learned to manage time over the years. I sat down on the bad next to Pansy. We talked what felt like hours. Suddenly my phone rang and both of them looked shocked. I took my phone out to see that one of my old friends back in Austria called me. I took off and talked with her only a few minutes since I'm still with my other friends. I told her that I would call her back later someday. The Slytherin girls looked confused at each other and then at me. "What's wrong?" I asked the both of them. The girls said at same time what that bloody thing is. I realized that they grew up in the wizarding world and not as me in the muggle world. I explained them that this is a phone and what it's for. I see some sparkles of excitement in the eyes of both of them. Daphne got up "Come, we need show this the boys" she almost screamed of pure excitement dragging me out of their room down into the common room. -------------------------------------------------------- "Ok but on Saturday, we need in the muggle world to get us some of these" Blaise said before I interrupt him "They are called Phones, Blaise" I laughed. I showed them all the stuff that you could do with a phone. I honestly regraded showing them Social Media. This is not going to end well, I thought to myself. As the girls talked to Blaise and Theo, who joined a little later, I caught Draco staring at me, but he quickly changed his gaze at the group, as he realized I noticed his look on me. The night ended as we all went to our own dorms and went to bed. ------------------------------------------------In the next morning I got ready as usual, by getting dressed and putting on some natural make up. I headed downstairs where Malfoy was already waiting of me. He offered me to walk with him since I still have no idea where everything is and Daphne and Pansy besides DADA and potions completely opposite classes take. We usually don't talk while we walk down the halls to our classes or to the great hall, same as today. As we entered the great hall I sat beside my friends and started to put food on my plate, a boy with glasses and brown hair passed us. I could see that his hand was in bandage and he glared at Malfoy, who had the famous smirk of his on his face. I turn to face him "What's up with the both of you" I said to Malfoy. But instead of Malfoy answering Blaise did "Potter didn't shake hands with Malfoy on our first day here. Since then, they are sworn enemies. You see that girl next to him?" I nod "This is Granger, the mudblood. Malfoy called her one in our third year and after that she pushed him in the face and broke his nose." Blaise chuckled while Draco gave him a death stare. "Last year, Draco bullied Potter and a teacher turned him into a ferret after that" Blaise continued. The girls tried to hold back small laughs and we all continued to eat. As Malfoy and I headed out of the great hall he said as silent that I only was able to hear it "Don't make friends with any of the Gryffindors" "Why" I asked him lightly confused. "First off Gryffindor is our enemy if you're loyal to Slytherin. Second, they have club in the underground where they do forbidden stuff, since Umbridge came to Hogwarts. Pottah always says that You-Know-Who has returned, but that's bullshit" he spat out. I noticed that he knew more that he said but I honestly didn't really care. My parents would be ashamed if I would make friends with a mudblood, so thankful at him for telling me. We went into our herbology class. God this shit is boring. A boy from Gryffindor always talked and we had to pair up with some other students. I worked together with a girl from Slytherin. Her name was Makayla Johns as i remember. Most important she's a pureblood but she also seemed pretty nice. When the class finally ended, I grabbed my stuff and asked if we would work togheter next time. She nodded
and I went out to catch up with Draco when I ran into a person. I fell to the floor and my books as well. I looked up deep into his eyes. It felt like flying. His brown eyes stared into my green ones. "Omg I'm so sorry" he said when he gave me his hand and helped me up. He grabbed all my books and gave them to me. He looked handsome as I can tell. His brown hair fluffy over his forehead, his hazel-colored eyes and his cheeks with a small blush of pink in them. "I'm Diggory, Cedric Diggory. Again I'm so sorry for bumping into you" he said with a million-dollar smile. "Oh, thanks I'm fine. Amer, Amber Habsburg. I'm sorry I watched all the people and the ambience but not where I was walking to. I'm new here that probably the cause." I said with as I blushed. "Well, I could give you a little tour then" I nodded of excitement "Do you have any free periods tomorrow?" I told him that we could meet at 11 am tomorrow at the library and he nodded as he walked away with a smirk on his face. ---------------------------------------------- "Omg you meet tomorrow with the probably hottest guy at school" Daphne said while Pansy rolled her eyes in an annoyed way, I couldn't help myself and smile. After I went to my dorm and got ready for bed, I phoned my old friend and told her everything that happened. Tomorrow was the first day I was looking forward ... I'm going to meet Cedric Diggory.
