A loud screech was heard in the night, to which Drake and Zephron had arisen quietly to investigate.

"You heard it to?" Zephron asked as Drake wearily sat up on his bed.

"I'm up, aren't I?" He responded.

"Did you grab your sword?"

"Nope, left it on the horse."

"It has a name, y'know."

"I will never call it that."

"Belle is a perfect name for that horse."

"Yeah yeah, screech, remember?"

"Right, right. I left my bow as well. Let's go check on Angelina and the kid. After that, we'll grab our stuff." Zephron said as he started to head out.

"Wait, aren't you gonna wake these bozos up?"

"You're kidding, right?"

"You know the answer to that." Drake said with a smile.

"Alright then, let's go." With that they both headed out the door and ran out into the streets.

As they quickly made their way down the road, the screech sounded once more, this time with a brief small light glowing in the distance, almost like a star. "Uhhhh, Zeph? You seeing that?"

"Yeah, we need to get to Angelina fast, you sense her yet?"

"Yeah, follow me." Drake said taking the lead.

They headed close to the gate and turned to a small humble wooden house. They climbed the stairs and tried the knob but it was locked. Zephron then knocked loudly on the door, "Angelina, wake up! We've got a situation."

"C'mon, this is important, we need to know who has the best looking bed head." Drake said jokingly.

"Hm, she sure is taking her time, I could probably pick th-" Zephron started but was quickly interrupted by a loud crash as Drake kicked down the door, revealing Angelina and a frightened Antonio on the other side.

"Umm, good morning." Drake said.

"We have a problem, you're the strongest so stay here and keep Antonio safe." Zephron said stepping into the broken door way, "The church is the safest place, go there and make sure those lazy asses don't die. Or don't, I don't really care." After that, Drake and Zephron left for the entrance of Sheothe, where their gear was.

"Why? Why now!? For the love of the Gods, this is the last thing we need." Zephron said pulling his bow from its place on the saddle.

"What? Scared you've lost your edge?" Drake smiled.

"You wish, the only thing I'm scared of is your temper when I slay this thing before you even get a strike in."

"So you're scared of me?"

"What? No, that's not what I said." Zephron thought about exactly what he had just said, "Well its not what I meant. Shut up and let's kill this thing."

Drake laughed as he equipped his sword on his back.

"Try to lure it away from the town." Drake said.

"I'm on it." Zephron responded as he drew two arrows from his quiver. He quickly turned and slid to a stop to take aim at their foe. As they took their time to get prepared, it had grown ever closer and was no longer a star in the sky. Now it was a large dimly red silhouette flying about 150 meters from the town. It once again made a loud screech and a light appeared. It was fire coming from the beasts mouth, revealing a dragon on its way to devastate the small town of Sheothe.
