It was beautiful, until it wasn't

The next day is a whirlwind.

You and Delilah make your way down from her room.

Earning a few glances from some Gryffindors.

You pull your robe and tie out of the fake bush happy that it was still where you left it the night before.

You both make your way into the Great Hall for breakfast.

You give her a big and comforting hug as you part ways.

She makes her way over to where Neville Longbottom and Ginny Weasley are sitting but not without throwing some ill-tempered glances towards the trio which definitely didn't go unnoticed.

Breakfast came to an end and you wait for Del as she makes a quick stop at the bathroom before class.

She smiles softly at you once she reappears.

Clearly doing better.

You both make your way towards the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom without a moment to spare.

Defense Against the Dark Arts drags on for what felt like an eternity.

Soon, you, Delilah, and the rest of the students file into the hall and head off to their next classes.

"Hey. Thanks for walking me to Transfiguration." Del grins softly.

"It's my pleasure" you say softly.

Once you've dropped Delilah off at her class you head to Divination clearly dreading seeing the blond devil.

You make your way inside the classroom trying not to pay any attention to Malfoy.

He snarls at you, his gray eyes crinkling with disgust as you take your seat across from him awkwardly.

The sun is shining bright as You, Summer, and Cedric make your way outside to study.

"God. I swear Snape is actively praying on my downfall" Summer says lowly.

You giggle as Cedric smiles at you softly.

Summer, Hanna, and Susan already knew what was going on with you two and didn't spare any moment to continually tease you both about it every waking moment.

Zach was more lowkey about it but would still make fun of you for how jittery you'd get when Cedric was around.

"See you back at the common room" Cedric says softly.

You smile at him and Summer head off to go meet up with Hanna, Susan, and Zach.

They give you a small wave as they both saunter off towards the Common room.

You sit under a wispy oak tree waiting for a certain Gryffindor so you can both study for your upcoming Dark Arts test.

Finally, you spot her rushing over towards you softly pushing people out of the way with a giddy "sorry".

She rushes towards you, her face flushed.

"Del! Where have you been? I've been waiting here fo-"

Your cut off before you can finish your sentence.

"Come on! I really want you to meet some people" she says with a huge smile as she leads you across the courtyard.

A group of Slytherins give you a saucy look.

The girl in the front has deep brown hair and ocean blue eyes.

"Hi i'm Onyx Louise-Richmond" she says with a confident tone.
