I'm sure he's still roaming somewhere around here.
God knows how many times I twirled around trying to carefully spot this mystery man, and I couldn't help but notice how many pair of eyes were watching me in bafflement. Honestly, I couldn't blame them. I mean wouldn't you be a little weirded-out to see a girl whose disguised as a dude twirling around for what seems like forever?
Or is it just me?
"Is it just me or do you look like a girl twirling around like that?" I jumped at Skylar's voice behind me. My, he gave me a heart attack! I turned around to face him to see his weirded-out facial expression. See? Told you. "Dude, what on Earth are you doing?"
"Who?" I faked to look behind me and then look back at him in surprise. "Me? Dancing, duh!" I began twirling around within the beat of the classical music, this time making it a little more dancy than searchy.
Immediately he gripped my shoulder and gave me a serious look. "Stop it Riley! You're embarrassing me in front of the ladies."
I gave him a confused look. "There are no ladies here... Unless you go for elder women now?"
He scoffed, but his eyes gave it away. "No."
I laughed. "You do!"
He looked right and left before leaning in to whisper. "Dude, shutup, I'm just trying something new, dude. My friends are all going for it, so why don't I, dude? Leave me alone, dude. Some elder women have things that younger women don't, right dude?"
I smirked. "Right, dude."
He released a deep breath, bending back out. "Anyway, you need to find a girlfriend. I think those plastic strands of hair had really effected your brain and seeing you like this makes me feel sorry, Baldilocks."
Before I could reply or punch him, he left coolly winking at an aged business woman as she sent daggers at him. I bursted into laughter, but immediately ceased when I remembered there was a surreal golden floral craved necklace that was definitely worth an amount I could never afford.
However, an idea popped into my mind. I knew exactly how to find this Mr. Inexplicable, and I prayed I didn't forget this plan.
Maybe I should write it down somewhere later.
I didn't realise my eyes were roaming around the room as I daydreamed until they landed on Chance, gracefully chatting away with a tall (just the same height as him), black haired and dark-tanned skin in a white suit, holding a boxing glove figured trophy. They seemed to be having a blast among each other's company, and it just made me feel drawn into the desire of going there and being around happiness.
I face-palmed myself hard.
There were probably people staring at me in puzzlement again, but I couldn't care any less. I mean, since when did I start thinking that Chance was happiness? What's wrong with me these days? Seriously, him being a nightmare on elm street sounds a lot more reasonable than him being happiness.
A moving hand snapped me out of my reverie and my eyes focused onto the person a little behind Chance and the man. It was Orio, motioning me to come to him. I nodded my eyes as I made my way towards him... But for some, bizarre reason, it felt as if I was approaching Chance instead. Maybe Skylar's right, those plastic strands of hair probably did poisoned my head.
