The day goes by quickly for the two teens, with Kayla excited about the pandemonium tonight, she was bouncing off the walls, matt sat on the floor and did his usual routine. To beg. He didn't like this job, but he was the only one out of the two, who could conquer his social anxiety for his best friend. He looked down at his cup and saw the money that looked like at least 15 bucks. "I think this is enough for us to eat today, go buy some stuff in the shops, nothing too expensive though, there's no guarantee for us getting loads of money tonight." He says. Kayla's eyes brightened by the mention of eating today, this was like the best day of her life. She gets to go back to the pandemonium AND she gets to eat, its like magic.
So off she goes to the little shop around the corner, 'coneys', and buys some junk food, not too much but enough for them to survive. Just a few bags of crisps and some bottles of water. Night struck soon after, the teens gathered the little amount of what they have and started walking. It wasn't too long of a walk but it was long enough to make sure that Matt could set down his rules. 'no wandering off, no leaving my sight, no going with strangers and last but definitely not least no meddling with other Downworlders.' Matt was very clear with that last one. Five minutes passed and they reached the pandemonium club. Bright lights flashed from inside the club, the sound of loud music and talking seeping out from inside the big, tall building. Kayla awed in amassment as she stared intently at the club, Matt noticed this through the corner of his eye. "remember the mission, no distractions! Got it?!" Matt said sternly making sure she heard what he said. "yes dad." She said mockingly. Matt just scoffed and rolled his eyes, turning around to walk away.
"Can't we just go inside, its been an hour and I only have ten bucks, and imagine the fun we could have." Kayla nagged hoping for Matt to cave in. It had already been an hour and they had about 15 bucks and 25 cents between them.
(again thank you so much)
