Olenna woke up with a start when the engine of the car turned off. She groaned out, squinting her eyes as a feeling of pain erupted from her lower back when she moved to sit up. "I hate butt pains," she huffed out, scrambling out of the backseat of the car – her bones aching to stretch themselves from their reclining position in the backseat.

"Then maybe you shouldn't have fallen asleep," Bella teased, a playful glint in her brown gaze as she was already out of the car by the time the younger sibling closed the door with a small thud.

The Swan sister overheard the conversation about a car being dedicated to the two of them, so it wasn't a surprise when she spotted a faded red Chevy with big, rounded fenders and a bulbous cab on the right side of the parking space in front of the house.

"This car is actually not that bad," she murmured out loud, hand moving on its own accord and gently caressing the paint job of their new car for school. Olenna looked to her sister, who looked surprised – probably because she didn't think that she'd like the car.

"Wow, Dad," Bella breathed out, a mixture of relief and joy twisting upon her face. "I love it! Thanks!"

The blonde whisked her hand off of the truck after a moment to grab her suitcase from the back of the cop car – blue eyes shining with curiosity to see if her room looked any different to how it used to be when she was younger.

She took the stairs two at a time with one suitcase at a time, glancing over at her sister who was already in the west bedroom that faced the front yard which had been her room since they were born and turned to the door opposite of Bella's and pushing the door open with a small sigh that she had been holding.

The walls were a light purple, wooden floors, the peaked ceiling was all sending nostalgia through the teenager as she placed her suitcase on the floor next to a desk that she remembered doing homework and her own thing on as her gaze caught on to a hanging cone shell on the left side of the wall.

"He still kept it," she said, her voice full of disbelief and surprise as she carefully reached for the item that had held such a treasured memory of her childhood.

This was her room, and she still loved it as much as she used to.

She couldn't wait to see what happened next.

"Come on," Bella urged, grabbing her jacket that hung from the back of her chair as her eyes wandered around to all the family photos Charlie still held up. It was clear to both the children that their father had never gotten over their mother. "Let's go and find the school."

Olenna already knew that the 'finding the school' reason was actually an excuse so that they didn't have to be in the house any longer than Bella was comfortable being with, with all the photos around startling the oldest Swan twin.

Not that she could say any differently either way as she too found it a little bit unnerving that Charlie spent at least their entire life still yearning for someone who had made it clear she didn't want him anymore.

"Coming," Olenna agreed, pushing the headband firmly on the top of her head as they made it to their new – well, new to them – truck after locking up the house.

Rain drizzled down on the both of them, one in a rush to get to the truck whereas the other tried avoiding stepping on a particular large puddle right next to the passenger side of the car. "Fucking puddles," the sun-kissed woman grumbled, rolling her eyes as she took a leap into the designated seat.

She loved the rainy weather, but she wasn't very fond of getting mud all over herself on the first day of school where appearance meant everything. Not that the truck would give them a real big help in that, but at least they were dressed nicely to an extent.

Inside the truck, it was nice and dry. Olenna figured that someone had obviously cleaned it up, but the tan upholstered seats still smelled faintly of tobacco, gasoline, and peppermint. Signs of it being used over the years. The dark-haired Swan turned the ignition and the engine started quickly, but loudly – roaring to life and then idling at full volume.

"Nice." Olenna grinned, giving her sister a thumbs up at their new vehicle and showing her approval of the machine that their father had clearly not paid anything for.

If anyone were to pay even a dollar for this vehicle, Olenna thought they'd be getting a rip off for it. And that was saying something, cause the youngest Swan often found herself buying small trinkets that she'd never use and then throw out.

They got to the school rather quickly, the school just off the highway making it convenient for the twins as they stared at the building with confusion. It didn't exactly look like a school, rather a collection of matching houses, built with maroon-coloured bricks.

"We sure we're in the right place?" Olenna questioned, looking down at her phone for a second as she debated looking it up on google maps. "I'm sure," Bella said, her own tone reflecting her hesitance on leaving the car and into this odd building they said was a school.

Olenna wasn't expecting so much forestry despite seeing so much green previously on the way here the day before, but she loved it. It was a contrast of the lack of greenery where they were living beforehand, and it was something that could easily soothe her worries. The trees and shrubs hid the size of the building at first, and it gave a homey feeling to the younger sister as she jumped in her seat.

Bella parked in front of the first building, which had a small sign over the door reading 'front office'. "Are we even allowed to park here?" Olenna questioned, looking over at her sister who just shrugged. "I'd rather go inside and ask for directions than circling like an idiot," Bella admitted – her fear of embarrassing herself in public outweighing any other possible outcome.

"Fair enough," Olenna mused, taking a second to gather her momentum before launching the door wide open and hopping out into the cold rain and practically ran down a little stone path lined with dark hedges.

Opening the door, the two peeked inside to see it was brightly lit, and warmer than expected. The office was small; a little waiting area with padded folding chairs, orange-flecked commercial carpet, notices and awards cluttering the walls, a big clock ticking loudly. Plants grew everywhere in large plastic pots, Olenna reaching out to touch one of the smooth-looking leaves of one and nodded her head in affirmation.

The room was cut in half by a long counter, cluttered with wire baskets full of papers and brightly coloured flyers taped to its front. There were three desks behind the counter, one of which was manned by a large, red-haired woman wearing glasses. She was wearing a purple t-shirt, and the youngest couldn't help but look down at her own denim jeans and long-sleeved black shirt with a small frown on her face.

"Can I help you?" the woman questioned, looking up from her desk. "I'm Isabella Swan, and this is my sister, Olenna Swan," Bella informed her, and blue eyes narrowed in suspicion as immediate awareness lit in the receptionists eyes.

They were expected, a topic of gossip. Daughters of the Chief's flighty ex-wife, come home at last. Olenna scoffed to herself, subtly rolling her eyes. "Guys look, it's the Pope," she mumbled under her breath, crossing her arms and rubbing her elbow.

"Of course," she said, either ignoring Olenna's relatively loud comment in the quiet room despite her whispering or just didn't hear her as she began digging through a precariously stacked pile of documents on her desk.

The lady didn't relent in her search until she found the ones she was looking for. "I have your schedules right here," she started, waving two pieces of paper with her left hand. "and a map of the school," she finished, gesturing to her other hand as she put them on the counter for the two of them to grab.

Olenna had zoned out for a little bit as she went highlighting routes to each of their classes, knocked back into reality as she was handed a slip by her sister, grabbing it with furrowed brows but didn't question it in front of the nice lady.

"First day of school; here I come."
