Olenna breathed out a sigh of relief as the lunch bell rang throughout the classroom, moving up from her spot in the middle of the rows of tables and headed towards the cafeteria – following the hordes of people as they chattered excitedly with their friends.
A yelp of surprise left her mouth as her hand moved back from opening the glass doors as two boys barrelled through it, yelling obscenities along the way and a faint 'sorry'. Blinking away the sudden shock, Olenna took a second chance in opening the door without almost being trampled on.
Making her way through the corridor with no issues, her green orbs skimmed throughout the room filled with students and found the person she wanted to find. Bella was surrounded by a medium-sized group of people, which made the blonde's stomach twist with pride at her older sibling.
She knew that Bella doesn't necessarily like being around so many people at once, especially so soon, but nonetheless, here she was, chilling with them. A slight prick of nervousness engulfed Olenna's mind briefly as she slowly made her way towards the talkative group with nothing except her dignity and grace.
Well, lack thereof; proven as she almost tumbled over her sister's bag that sat on the floor. Her cheeks flushed a slight red in embarrassment but shrugged it off with a wave of her hand and plopping herself right next to Bella.
The person sitting opposite of Bella was a girl with voluminous, curly, dark brown hair that had a maroon-coloured headband in, fair skin, and blue eyes that swirled with confusion at the sight of someone she was yet to recognise entering the table.
She gave a certain popular, snobby vibe off to Olenna, but didn't want to be quick to judge so she gave her a small smile in return.
Next to her was another woman with light brown hair with streaks of honey and gentle brown eyes hidden behind white-framed glasses. She seemed to be the gentle one in this part of the group, and the youngest Swan knew she'd get along with her relatively well.
Lastly, was a male this time of Asian descent – greasy that looked black as an oil slick, brown eyes, and a poor complexion. He seemed to have not liked the conversation they had before and left the table whilst muttering to Bella about having her back.
"I'm Olenna," she introduced to the now quiet table, reaching her hand out to the girl with the headband in her hair first. "Bella's twin," she added, eyes flickering to the said person with a slight flash of panic before it vanished when the woman gave a smile and shook her hand.
"Jessica, Jessica Stanley."
Letting go of Jessica's hand, Olenna reached for the other girl whose grip was gentle yet firm despite the size of her hand being relatively larger than normal – Olenna taking an assumption that this woman was taller than appeared. "Angela Weber."
"Nice to meet you guys," Olenna admitted, leaning back on the bench that she had placed herself as she caught Bella's gaze somewhere else. Following her stare, Olenna found herself staring a group of people walking down the corridor before reaching the door to the cafeteria.
"Who are they?" Bella questioned, tilting her head to the side without her brown eyes leaving the group of people. It wasn't like Olenna could look away either, she couldn't help the curiosity that started at the bottom of her toes and crawled upwards.
"The Cullens."
"They are Dr. and Mrs. Cullen's foster kids. They moved down here from Alaska, like, a few years ago," Jessica informed them just as the first two entered the room, making Olenna realise from the way they held each other that they were too close to be thinking of each other as adopted siblings.
As they moved through the room, their gazes swept through the crowds with an ease as if they do this all the time – yet that didn't seem to be the case as a few people looked away immediately when they were caught openly looking.
