"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚗𝚘𝚐𝚐𝚎𝚍 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚕𝚎𝚢 𝙱𝚊𝚛𝚋𝚎𝚛?"

Y/N WOKE UP WITH HER alarm blaring, causing her eyes to shoot open and her body to jerk.

"good, you're up!" mike exclaims at the entrance of her room. she glared at him through her eyelashes as she laid on the floor wrapped in her blanket from falling out of the bed. "good morning to you too."

y/n got up with a grunt, getting dressed into [outfit of choice]. she wasn't eager for the day as she was unable to see sydney and stanley today. even though she had nothing to do, she didn't feel like going anywhere either. she did wish she knew what they were doing without her though. curiosity got the better of her.

"hey mom?" she peaked her head into her parents bedroom.

"yes y/n/n," her mom said, placing down her phone and sitting up in her bed.

"how did you go into the void again?" the teenager asked, tapping her fingers on the door frame.

"y/n, that may be too much for you to handle. you just found out about your abilities, we all did. and since we don't know why you have them, we don't know how to control them."

"well, just show me. incase an emergency," y/n tried to reason with her mother, going through a lot of trouble just to spy on her friends.

"what kind of emergency, hun?" el asked her daughter.

"incase the mind flayer comes back, or like in russia where-"

"that will never happen again, but if you wanna know so bad," el said with a playful smile, getting up and reaching into a dresser drawer to grab a bandana. "here."

she begins to wrap the tie around y/n's eyes, fastening it.

"now focus. think of where you want to go. if that isn't enough, which i suspect it not to," she mutters the last part under her breath, although the y/h/c heard it. "then you channel your anger and focus on that. you'll know when you're nose starts bleeding and your in a black room."

she did as her mother told, it took a few minutes, but she was successful. she was in a black room with about an inch of water on the ground. she was in the void. she heard muffled voices and she turned around to see sydney and a light-skinned girl sitting at a booth, she didn't know where though.

"you snogged stanley barber?" dina asked her redhead friend in disbelief. y/n felt her heart drop.

"shh, stop saying it so loud, liam is literally right there," sydney tried to hush her friend, chuckling. on the inside, sydney knew she regretted the whole thing. it didn't feel right, but she didn't know why.

and y/n, she felt negative emotions. she didn't know whether she was mad, sad, disappointed. she thought her and stanley hit it off, even if they only knew each other for three days. but stanley only knew sydney for one and they already got really close.

the other two girls continued talking about the whole thing while y/n zoned out in disbelief.

dina asked sydney something else, but y/n didn't want to hear it, she jerked off the blindfold and was back in her parents room as a few stray tears escaped. but she wiped them off, determined not to cry over a boy she basically just met. or any boy at all for that matter.
