WHAT A GREAT MONDAY. note the sarcasm. if you missed last chapter, let's catch up. y/n went to ricky's party with stanley and wound up spilling the beans on her feelings. when sydney apologized, she accidentally told y/n she is in love with dina and has supernatural abilities. leading y/n to do the same. soon after, stanley found the two girls and y/n got trapped into riding home with him while sydney walked. stanley and y/n almost hit sydney with his car on their way home. sydney was clearly not in a good mood and screamed, causing many trees to bend backwards, startling her two friends. she threatened stanley not to tell anyone and now it's a day later on monday. yay!

"i would play bloodwitch but my radio is broken," stanley states the obvious, clearly forgetting y/n was there when it happened. but at least he didn't know yet that it was her fault.

"yea and i would skateboard to school but you won't leave me alone," y/n snaps back. she wasn't in the mood for small talk in the mornings. or any talk at all for that matter.

"um, right yea. ok," he didn't know what to say back to her. his feelings were still knotted into a ball and he couldn't figure out how to prove he liked y/n, knowing that in order to regain her trust he would have to get over sydney. which he didn't know how to do.

the rest of the car ride was silent. what else is new?

-----------------

IN SCIENCE CLASS, stanley wouldn't stop bothering sydney. this was bad in two ways. one, sydney was hating his aggravating guts at the moment. and two, it pushed y/n further away from him, making her think he was all about sydney.

"just hear me out, you and y/n need to meet me at work so we can help you-" stanley was cut off when sydney walked to another table to resume her experiment. "we can hel-"

sydney then got fed up, storming out of the classroom calling out an excuse, y/n hot on her trail.

"sydney? are you in here?" a feminine voice rang through the bathroom. sydney looked at y/n with wide eyes as the girl was helping the redhead calm herself in the stall.

"uh, yea. just..." she looked at y/n for an excuse.

"cramps!" the y/h/c shouted, immediately covering her mouth realizing what she had done as sydney gave her a 'wtf' face.

"are you two both in the stall?" dina asked suspiciously, approaching where the girls are.

"she didn't have a tampon," y/n replied, not knowing what else to say.

"oh, well," dina then slid one under the stall for sydney.

"thanks," the redhead replied awkwardly.

"and about the party, can we just pretend it never happened? we were both," dina looks around the room, waiting for a word to come to mind. "distraught?"

"yea, yea sure. totally," sydney said calmly, although y/n could tell she was upset.

"great," dina walked out of the bathroom, closing the door behind her as the two remaining girls let out breaths of relief.

-----------------

IT WAS HOURS AFTER school when sydney called her y/h/c friend, asking her to meet at the end of the road.

"yea, of course syd," y/n threw on [outfit of choice] over her pajamas before running downstairs in a rush. she was afraid sydney was having a panic attack.

"hey, hey, hey, woah. where are you off to in such a rush?" mike asks his daughter as he and el looked at her oddly.

"sydney needs my help," she replied quickly, yanking her shoes on.

"the sydney that boinked your crush?" el asked her daughter, confused on why the y/h/c was still friends with sydney.

"it's not like that," her parents quirked a brow at her, not buying what she was saying. "look, it's a long story. she has abilities too, but she can't control them. now she needs my help." y/n then ran out the door, leaving her parents baffled.

-----------------

"WHY ARE WE GOING to stanley again?" y/n didn't feel too good about telling the boy everything, but maybe that was still jealousy nagging at her.

"because he can help us," sydney said, kicking the rocks as the girls walked. "also, how did you find out me and stan, y'know."

"well, my abilities. i have telepathy," y/n pauses as syd nods. "and i can see into peoples minds," sydney then abruptly stopped, putting her arm over y/n's waist to stop the y/h/c too.

"you can what?!" sydney asks the girl.

"it's complicated. like i wear a bandana, i focus. then i wind up in a black room with this much water," y/n held up her fingers as a symbol when saying 'this much'. "then, whoever i was focusing on seeing would be there."

"so? that doesn't explain how you know," sydney retorts, still confused.

"i saw your conversation with dina in the diner," y/n says, resuming walking to the bowling alley.

"oh," is all sydney mutters before running to catch up with the y/h/c girl.
