Chapter Eleven Old Friend

Carly's pov.

I woke up to the sound of Jack barking in my ear. "God Jack get off." I grunted and pushed him off of me, I stretched letting my bones crack and relax.

I entered my boiling shower and started my daily routine of makeup and my outfit. Today's outfit is black sticking with white shorts, I chose to wear my black and white stripped top with white leather jacket.

My black fingerless gloves and black shoes to match. With Jack being fed and my smoothie being drunk I was on my way to school. "Wow Im early." I looked around and noticed no one was here apart from some humans.

I walked to a large oak tree and sat down and put on my music. Blue by Beyoncé came on so I started to mouth the words. Halfway threw the song I smelled a familiar scent. 'Haven't smelt that in a while.'

I thought, I got up, letting my feet take me to the source. Rounding the corner I was met with a familiar face.

"Melissa?" She turned around and her face held shock. "Carly?" We both ran up and hugged each other. "I haven't seen you since training academy. How have you been?"

She asked pulling from the hug. "Yeah I'm good I just go attacked by a wolf the other day, no biggy." I waved it off. "Oh so I'm guessing you know, about the wolf thing?"

She asked head held low. Wow she knows bout werewolves too. "Yeah, but are we talking about what I think we are talking about?" I asked not wanting to spill the secret.

"Yes...werewolves." She whispered into my ear. "Oh thank god you know! I would've died not being able to tell you." I hugged her again. "How did you find out?"

I asked breaking the hug. "The academy, once you left bout a month later they told us werewolves exist and started training us more and more, wanting us to prepare ourselves."

She whispered. "Wow okay." What an intense school, glad I left. "Anyways how did yo-" she got cut off by the gang showing up, "hey Car, who's your fri- HUNTER."

Joe growled lunged at Melissa. I kicked him in the stomach and tacked him to the floor. Melissa was just standing there frozen. "Stop protecting the Hunter, she could kill us."

Joe was snapping and growling. "STOP IT JOE. RELAX." I barked at him, he immediately calmed down and I got off of him. Max, alex, Zac, Mark, Amanda and the rest got out of the car and had the same reaction.

I lunged and kicked everyone making them fall to the floor. "CHILL GUYS!" I snapped at them and walked over to the frozen Melissa. "I didn't know this was a werewolf school."

She looked so frightened. "Wait you know we are werewolves." Mark stood up quickly glaring at me. "Hey! I didn't tell her. So stop that bull shit glaring." I pointed my finger at Mark.

"Yeah I kinda figured it out by the scent, looks, testosterone, and the fact you screamed Hunter! And charged at me."

She rolled her eyes. "And anyways I'm not a hunter, I just was trained as one in secret but didn't know until Carly left the academy. So I left couple months after. So don't worry I won't hurt you." Melissa and I high fived.

"Wait...wait what?!" Toby, oh dear sweet Toby, so clueless. "NEVERMIND okay, she's not a hunter and knows that you guys are werewolves okay." I snapped, they are ticking me off today.

RRIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGG.

Oh thank mother Jesus. "Well time to go. What class do u have now Liss?" I asked Melissa snatching her time table.

"Cool you have the same classes as me and Amanda. Oh by the way this is Toby, Micheal, Max, Alex, Zac, Mark, Amanda and the one and only Joe." I pointed to each one.

"Wow beta, delta and sons of Alpha. Pretty impressive." She crossed her arms. "Well bye guys." I grabbed Amanda and Liss's arms and dragged them out and off to english.

Lunch time

Amanda, Joe, Liss, max and I all made our way over to our table. We all had our trays stacked with food. Like always. "Wow so much better then the academy."

Liss spoke. I froze, one rule was to never speak of the academy. And now I don't want to speak about it around the werewolves, they would never understand the training and think we are all hunters, which we aren't we just went there for the combat, archery and kickboxing program.

I kicked Liss under the table. "Oww." She groaned and all eyes turned to me. "Liss can I talk to you for a sec?" I didn't wait for a reply I yanked her up from her spot and out from the cafeteria.

"Please don't speak about the Academy the guys would never understand, please stop bringing it up." I begged her with my best puppy eyes. "Arg fine mrs desperate." I hugged her and we entered.

"Hey Zane!" I waved towards him. "This is my old friend Melissa." I pointed to her. He looked up and waved then he noticed Liss. "MINE!" He growled to me. I've read enough books to know what that meant.

So I stepped out of the way and sat down. "Erm hi?" Liss asked looking at her feet. he pulled her into a tight hug and she hugged him back. "Wow never knew it happened that fast." I huffed biting into my apple.

"what?" Zac asked me cocking his head to the side. "The mate thing." I said in a Duh tone. "Wow Alex when you explained everything you actually explained EVERYTHING." Zac exclaimed.

"Actually no they didn't, this was the only thing they didn't tell me." I glared at the boys and they flinched. "How did you know then?" Amanda asked me taking a sip of her drink, while sitting in Toby's lap.

"I have my ways, I also know you and Toby are mates to." I bit into my apple again. "How did y-" Toby's mouth fell open, "obvious even to humans." I rolled my eyes. "Well half humans." Liss spoke up walking to us hand in hand with Zane.

"Wait what?" I spun around to face her. "Yeah, see Im human but my mother was a Hunter/ werewolf and my father was 100percent human. The only reason I'm not half wolf half human is because my mother was a born hunter but her mother was a werewolf and her father was a hunter. So I'm half human, so I have the agility and fighting skills of a hunter and the senses of a werewolf. And some traits of a human."

She shrugged. "Wow, have not heard of that." I shrugged and finished my lunch. "Okay anyways want to see a movie tonight?" Max asked the group. "Yeah, I'm in." We all chorused together.

"Cool I'll send you the details later." RRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGG
"Okay see you guys later, come one Amanda, Liss, Joe?" They nodded their heads, Liss kissed Zane on the cheek and we bolted to class.

Three agonising classes later and we were free. "Hey Joe? Wanna come over to my house to hang?" I asked grabbing my helmet.

Ever since last night when I found out about the whole werewolves thing I've had a strange connection towards him.

"Yeah sure lead the way." We jumped on our bikes and heading to my place, the whole ride there my phone was buzzing every five seconds. I jumped off my bike and called alex.

With in half of the first ring he picked up. "I'm with Joe we are at my house chill oaky." Then I hung up, "so what do you want to do?" Joe asked, I smirked,

"got your gym clothes?" I asked, "yes but Wh- lets do this." Joe smirked at me then ran inside to get changed.
