Chapter Sixteen Heat?

Carly's Pov

Getting off my bike as I parked, a jock ran up to me and picked me up by my neck, the next thing was unsuspected, he kissed me.

I growled and kicked him in the balls and smirked as he fell to the ground. Only if uncle frank was here he would be so proud. But he's still gone.

As I walked to my locker ever guy I passed had lust in their eyes. Eww little perverts. I opened my locker only to be pushed roughly against it and harshly kissed again.

I ripped the boy off my and punched his throat leaving him unable to breath for a while. Oh well. "Hey CARLY." JOE yelled and waves across the hall. He than noticed the jock and growled.

"You need to stay away from Alex, Max, Toby, And Micheal." He growled. Woah what's up with him. "Dude what's up you have never been like this imprint or not."

I snapped at him clenching my fists and jaw. I don't like being told what to do. "Carly it's not cause I'm being a jerk and telling you who U can and can't hang out with im saying this because your in heat." Joe sighed.

Wait! Heat! What the actual fuck. People say it's when your horny and want to mate with your mate but I haven't found my mate. "Wha-" I was cut off by a computer nerd running up to me and slapped my ass.

I turned around and punched him in the face and kneed him in the balls. "Take me somewhere private NOW! If you want to keep your baby makers." I growled at Joe.

He was also angry and grabbed my hands and pulled me to our bikes. "Follow me." He growled and shoved himself on the bike. Once I put my helmet on I saw the whole football team running to my bike.

I took off waiting for Joe to lead the way. He sped infront of me and I heard distant growls behind us I quickly turned my head to see the football team chasing us. I used the phone I had inside my helmet to call Joe.

He answered. "You better have a good reason as to why the football team is following us." I yelled. "Cause your in heat! Every un-mated wolf wants you right now and I have to protect you!" He hung up. I growled. What the heck does that even mean.

With in 40 minutes we were at my house. Yes I know normaly it doesn't take that long. Well mr weirdo on his bike said it be best if we took the long way to my place so my scent was harder to track.

I jumped off my bike and threw my my helmet on my bike. "Explain Now!" I was so angry he better have a good explanation about this heat thing and why I have to stay away from my friends.

"Calm down okay. Your in heat, it's when you have a strong sent saying you are ready to be mated, so all the un-mated Wolves want to you know...mate you, even if your not their mate, they don't care they will mate you. Questions?"

He asked me. Is he an idiot of course I have questions why is this happening now. "Yes! Why is this happening now, this has never happened before." I shouted at him, he put his hands up as a surrender.

Okay so, you are in heat because after a mate or an imprint claims the title you go into heat some days after to signify your ready to mate, this is because it usually happens when you meet your mate, you don't know your in heat until un Mated wolves try to mate with you, that's why all those jocks were kissing you.

During this time the imprint becomes more protective but me being a beta Im like 10x more overprotective, the reason you are to stay away from the guys apart from Zane is because they are all unmated and will try to mate with you.
