"TOMMY YOU STUPID CHILD! WHY DID YOU KILL ME?!?!" echoed through my walls of the office I had rented out in hopes of finding a peaceful place to work. Clearly it wasn't.
This is the fifth time this week that the person next door has screamed at "Tommy", and it's only Monday.
Aggravated, I threw my head into my hands. I was almost done with the chapter and now I have lost my concentration on the book.
A little information about me, I'm Y/n, I'm from Brighton, England. I'm 22 years old and in college to become a marine biologist. I'm majoring in journalism and geometry as well as Biology, clearly. I work well with shapes and animals.
My patience had evaporated in the air by now, I got up from my desk and took a few deep breaths allowing me to cool my body before i confronted this yelling bastard.
It took me two steps to get to their door. I lifted my fist to knock on the door. After a few seconds, I heard footsteps coming closer to the door.
As the door opened, I got a little intimidated by the height of the man, around my age, but I shook it off and opened my mouth to speak but he got to before I did.
"Um can I help you? Do you want an autograph is that why your here?"
It took me a second to comprehend why he asked if I wanted an autograph.
"I-why would I want an autograph? What I want is for you to be quiet, please and thank you." I said trying to keep my cool.
"Oh your not a fan, sorry I just thought my office address got leaked and also sorry for the noise I forgot I had neighbors for a second." he lightly chuckled at the end of the sentence.
I would be lying if I said he wasn't attractive, him being around 6'5 and my 5'8 self just made the height difference perfect but I was too irritated with the yelling come his office.
'damn...'
No Y/n focus"Right, well please keep it down I have a book I'm trying to finish and I only have a few days to get it turned in." I said realizing he probably doesn't care about my situation. "You probably don't care but just keep it down."
He looked me in the eyes, his brown eyes staring into my e/c ones. He grinned and held his hand out.
"I'm William, but my friends call me Wilbur." he spoke with a genuine voice.
I hesitate before shaking his hand,
"Y/n nice to meet you William."Clearly I'm not a friend nor fan of him,
'yet'
No, no yet. Stop it."Ouch, hoping you would call me Wilbur, but I'm sure you will just not yet." He laughed a little.
'told you, yet'
damn you.It took me a second to realize we still had our hands in the form of a handshake. Why didn't he let go yet?
His hand was larger than mine to say the least,'yea, it fits perfectly'
Knock it off will you?I quickly shake off my thoughts as I get lost in his eyes, they sparkle in the light.
I retreat my hand from his and smiled a small, soft smile.
"Uh, I have to get going, nice meeting you William, remember please keep it down." I say trying to regain myself.
"It may be weird to ask but, could I get your number, I don't want to make noise to get you to come talk to me again." he said chuckling at the end.
That made me giggle a little but hand him my phone so he could put his number in.
"Yea, it would be better than the second option, I don't want to come off as a bitch for complaining about the noise."
I said as he handed me his phone to do the same."Trust me, out of all my neighbors, you have been the nicest. Text me later Mrs. Y/n." He said shaking my hand once more.
'Wouldn't mind being your Mrs.'
Stop please."Actually it's Miss, I'm not married." I said starting to blush a little from the little comment my head made me think.
"Oh I just thought, because you have a ring on your left ring finger." he said lifting my hand up to look at the ring.
Why do I like his touch?
"That is my mother's ring, she gave it because it was the only thing I had left of my father. I'm sorry I don't mean to tell you my whole life story, once again it was nice meeting you. I have to go." I rushed the last few sentences.
"Don't worry about it, I would love to listen, maybe over coffee or dinner tomorrow?" he asked.
My heart fluttered as he smiled a wide smile.
'well don't just stand there say yes dummy'
"y-yes that would be lovely." I stuttered. my god am I not a fool.
"perfect text me your address when your free to talk. Goodbye Y/n."
'god the way my name rolled off his tounge was hot, wonder what how he is in be-'
NO NO NO NO"Bye! Talk to you later."
He chuckled and closed his door.
As I walked away, I facepalmed myself for ever thinking that.
