"DIGGORY!" Mcgonagall shouted from behind us "MY OFFICE NOW!" She added harshly "And Miss Dixon you follow aswell, I'd like to speak with you too." She said to me calmly.

I followed behind Cedric and Mcgonagall until we arrived at a room that was just off of Mcgonagalls' class. A very plain room with a red and yellow rug and cedar desk (a/n: aha little inside joke there). She sat down at a brown desk chair with a woven red back.

"Have a seat you two." Mcgonagall said as she pointed to the two chairs off to the side. I sat down to the left of Cedric.

"So Mr. Diggory what makes you think that it is okay to punch students out of nowhere?" Mcgonagall asked.

"Professor Mcgonagall it wasn't out of no where. I was defendi-" Cedric added defensively.

"I understand the process of teasing Miss. Dixon went through, but that doesn't give you the permission to hit a fellow peer." Mcgonagall said sternly. "It's normal for kids to tease based on looks or newness possibly because she was younger."

"Then if they didn't want to get hit then maybe they shouldn't have laughed at the howler Y/N received." Cedric said clearly upset.

"Miss. Dixon when did you receive a letter. I was in the Great Hall when owls came by I don't recall that situation." Mcgonagall questioned concerned in a way but still strict.

"Professor they called her unwanted." Cedric added in a mumble.

"They did what Mr. Diggory, and where would they get an idea like that to say something like that!" Mcgonagall said she seemed fed up and her face showed all her emotion.

"My mother." I mumbled

"Miss. Dixon please speak up." Mcgonagall asked back softer.

"My mother." I said a bit louder for her to hear me.

"In this howler?" Mcgonagall questioned us.

"Yes and all because she got sorted into Hufflepuff." Cedric said as I nodded in agreement.

Mcgonagall let out a gasp and her face softened. "Oh my." She sighed "Your not Milli Carthers and Greyson Dixons daughter? Are you?" Mcgonagall asked.

"I am." I mumbled quietly.

"I don't believe it and I would have never known." Mcgonagall half said half gasped. "Your mother was never a nice one on the inside, but her outside act fooled everyone."

Time seemed to stop.

"Well Y/N your parents are at work maybe you, Mr. Diggory, and an older year student that I well trust could travel to the Dixon flat and get your belongings. I will owl the Marquams and see if you can stay with them and you'll live there until further notice."

"What about Dako-" I started before I was soon interupted.

"I'm sure Dakota will be just fine still living with her mother and father." Mcgonagall replied back fast. "Concerned about someone who isn't worried about you Miss. Dixon a true Hufflepuff you are. Both of you should be proud."

There was a moment of silence.

"Professor?" I asked

"Yes Miss. Dixon," Mcgonagall said as she looked up from the parchment.

"What about your class?" I asked her

"You two are the only two in that first transfiguration class, usally my classes are bigger," she paused for a moment. "I will tell Dumbledore right away I need to borrow a student or two to use the Furnace with you two, I'll also personally exempt you from the rest of your classes for the day."
