As the heroines fought the nightmares, Chat Noir became afraid of himself. The white cat shot powerful balls of cataclysm at them. He had good aim but never aimed directly at Ladybug. "We are never going to beat them! We need to find Sandboy!" Ladybug yelps, looking over at her partner. Chat Blanc insisted on fighting the bug, anytime Chat Noir jumped in he became angry, he began to shoot at his lady with better aim. Although he would not hurt Ladybug. It was odd.

"Agreed M'lady." Chat Noir runs to Ladybug, he grabs her by the waist and uses his baton to extend them away from the fight. The black cat could've sworn he heard Chat Blanc call Marinette's name. How did I get like this? The boy asked himself. He sighed as they landed, Ladybug removed herself from him arms and began to look for the akumatized victim.

"There!" Ladybug shouts, she calls her lucky charm. The fight would soon be over.

                                                                                          ~

The two were in a sewer. The wall between them to protect their identities. "Your biggest nightmare... is me... akumatized..?" Chat spoke softly but he knew that Ladybug could hear him.

"Feed your kwami and transform back into Chat, I want to see you when I tell you this. Meet me at the Eiffel Tower in thirty minutes," She says this firmly but there was love in her tone. No, she didn't romantically love Chat, but she loved him as a partner.

                                                                                         ~

They were both transformed back to their superheroine forms, now sitting on the ledge of the greatest Parisian landmark. Both sit in silence for a minute. "Somehow we had revealed ourselves." Ladybug started. He didn't look at him but at the ground below. "Bunnix pulled me through a portal to reveal Paris submerged in water." Chat Noir was watching her but her eyes stayed to the far ground. "Bunnix left and... you... no- Chat Blanc was there singing a melody." She fidgeted with her fingers.

"What was the melody?" The curious cat asked, trying to get Ladybug to look at him.

"It was something like, 'little kitty on the roof, all alone without his Lady...' that is all he said before I said his name and he saw me." She looked at Chat Noir, he was more concerned for her than the akumatized version of himself. He seemed shocked though, maybe he knew the melody now. "Anyway, when you saw me, I asked you where the akuma was." She trailed off.

"What did he respond with? I can handle it." Chat turns Ladybug to face him completely. His hands are on her shoulders. Somewhere he knew he would regret this later tonight.

"You pointed to here..." she rests her hand on his chest, where is heart is, her heart beat increased as it continued to lay there. "And said it was already broken." The red heroine looked down from her partners eyes. He took a shaky breath, Ladybug was holding her breath.

"Ladybug, look at me." He whispers it softly. It was sweet. "M'lady?" Her eyes still lay on the floor. She was crying, trying to shield it from the cat. When he feels the pressure of a tear hit his leg he embraces her, allowing her head to nuzzle into his collarbone. She sobbed. Her hands rubbed tightly around him. Chat brushed her head with his hand. "It's okay. It's okay." He closes his eyes and imagines the villainized him. "It's okay..." he whispers again, but this time it was to himself.

They stayed like that for a while, both comfortable. "Would you like to hear the rest of the story?" Ladybug asks into his shoulder, her voice was still scratchy from her sobs.

"Only if you are comfortable with telling it." Sure, he wanted to know... but he cared about Ladybug more.

"Chat Blanc said my name. He knew my identity..." Ladybug trails off, her face still in his shoulder.

"So that is why you won't reveal your identity until Hawk Moth is defeated?" He was surprised, the boy thought she was just insecure.

Ladybug nods into him. "We just fought, he would never actually hit me though, well that was until I tried braking his baton. He send me straight into the water." The heroine hesitated before continuing. "I moved to the floor of the Eiffel Tower," her eyes peaked over his shoulder to the ground below them. "There as an explosion, it was obvious, the ground was stained in black. I stood there... well the me of that time stood there, one with the tea, nothing but algae. Along with Hawk Moth." Chat Noir's breath was stuck in his throat. He killed her. That is why she as so afraid of revealing identities. She did not want to die.

"I really do want to reveal myself to you kitty, but- I couldn't bare to see the emotionless eyes again." Her head turns back into him, she hugs him tightly. She may not love me... but this isn't helping my love for her. This was the cat thinking. Their miraculous beep, alerting that it is time for their departure. "Goodnight kitty cat!" Ladybug removes her head from his shoulder, it was early morning by now. The heroine swings away, completely forgetting about her new discovery... she was too focused on the beat of her heart and the blush on her cheeks.
