Story Title: The Stranger In The Rain
(First meeting)

"Aish!" you grumbled as you ran in the rain.

Placing a hand over your head to cover yourself from the heavy rain was kind of pointless, but it was better than looking like an idiot basking in the rain. Furthermore, you were in a rush to get to your part-time job.

As you stepped on countless number of puddles, you noticed something that confused you. Unknowingly, you had stopped running and stood rooted to the ground in the rain.

There was a tall guy, with his back facing you, spreading his arms wide, under the heavy rain. It seemed like he was enjoying the 'good' weather and wanted to stay in it forever. He was completed drenched, from head to toe.

"Stupid," you muttered to yourself. "He's going to get sick."

Yet, you were also standing in the rain, like him. You could feel the heavy drops of rainwater as they splashed unto you. You cursed and immediately headed to a nearby shelter, in hopes that the rain would stop soon. Your job would have to wait; the rain was too heavy.

At the same time, the same guy was in your sight. He was in the same position, this time spinning around slowly.

"Is this guy insane?" you asked yourself.

He kept doing the same thing for a few minutes, and you couldn't stand it. The few people passing by gave him weirded-out looks. You stomped over to him.

"Are you crazy?" you yelled at him over the sound of the rain splashing on the ground.

The guy just stared at you. You glared back at him, then dragged him over to the shelter.

"Yah, what's with you?" you asked him again, lowering your voice. "You can get sick under that rain!"

"I-I don't know," he answered as he kept staring at you.

He kept glancing down to where your connected hands were. You realised, with utter embarrassment, that you hadn't let his hand go after dragging him there. Heat rose to your cheeks as you finally let go.

You stared at him. His long hair was completely wet and his clothes were soaked. You figured you looked soaked too. You broke the eye contact that had been lingering on for a while and glanced at your watch.

"Aish, I'm late!" you said and looked at the rain.

Thinking it wouldn't stop anytime soon, you ruffled your hair in frustration. Feeling dejected, you sat on a ledge near the door of the shelter, probably a small shop, and decided on just staring at the rain until it stopped.

The guy sat next to you. "I'm sorry."

"What are you sorry for?" you asked him and hugged your legs, resting your chin on your knees. "You didn't do anything."

He kept quiet.

Shivering a few times, you rubbed your arms to feel more warmth that never came. It was cold, and you only wore two layers of clothes.

"Are you cold?" he asked.

"No."

He took off his wet jacket and proceeded to place it over your shoulders, but you declined.

"You probably need it more. God knows how long you stood there in the rain."

He chuckled, and you realised it was a lovely laugh. "Don't worry, I only stood there for five minutes, max."

"You sure?" you asked again. "I don't think you even know how much time went by, seeing your face so at peace."

He chuckled again, and you began to want to hear it again.

"That's a nice laugh you have," you muttered.

"Sorry, what?" he asked.

"Nothing."

Soon, the rain stopped. You were surprised by how fast it stopped. It rained so heavily a few moments ago, it looked like it was going to rain till night.

Nevertheless, you were glad it stopped and just wanted to get to work as fast as possible. Without bidding goodbye to the stranger, you stood and ran to the nearest bus stop that goes to your destination.

Over the next course of days, you kept thinking of the guy. No matter how, his face kept popping up in your mind. You were starting to come up with conflicting conclusions.

"Did I... fall in love with a stranger?" you whispered to yourself one day at work.

You normally work in the café's kitchen, but that day one of your colleagues called in sick, and so you were placed as a cashier. It wasn't as tiring as your previous job, but your cheeks were cramping. Maybe smiling wasn't all that good for your face.

You were writing down an order, and didn't hear the doorbell chime.

"Excuse me," said a somehow familiar voice.

"Welcome to--" you greeted the customer but stopped halfway.

Your cheery expression turned into a shocked one. The customer also stared back at you in shock. It was the same person. That stranger in the rain.

"It's you!" you exclaimed as you pointed at him.

"Kookie, what'd you do now?" someone approached them and asked the guy.

"Ah, hyung, go away! I want to order this time!" 'Kookie' said to his hyung and pushed him away, muttering, "Why do they keep thinking I did something wrong?"

That voice was very familiar.

"Sorry about that," he said. "I didn't get your name last time."

You blinked. Why did he look so handsome? Perhaps it was because he had been drenched the previous time and his hair had somehow covered his face, but now you saw it clearly.

'Kookie''s hand waved around a few inches from your face. "Hi?"

You blinked several times again. "Uh, sorry. What did you say?"

He let out that same chuckle. "Your name?"

"Ri Na."

"Hi, Ri Na-sshi. I'm Jungkook."

He held out his hand. You took it, and the two of you shared a handshake.

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too."

At that point in time, you realised something that might probably change your life.

At the end of your day, as you lay on your comfortable bed, you said to yourself something even yourself would never believe.

"I fell in love with a stranger."

A/N:

How was it? This wasn't requested or anything, just a demo story. Don't worry, the stories requested by you will definitely be packed with more action(because this one didn't have a definite plot). Take note that the length of the chapters depend on the type of story you have requested.

Anyway, I hope you readers enjoy this book and be active in requesting for stories from me! Thank you for supporting me!

P.s. Jungkook is not my bias, I just think a lot of people have him as their bias. But then again, if you know BTS well, you would know that you shouldn't have a bias. Because all of them are bias-ruiners! Bye bye!
