Story Title: My Dancing Cinderella
(First meeting-sweet)The bell rang, signalling the end of the last class. You sighed in relief, looking forward to what you were going to do next. You left the class and dropped by your locker to keep away the books you refused to carry all the way home.
"Nerd," someone sneered at you.
"Loser," another called.
"Why is she even in this school?" a nearby girl asked her friend.
"Why can't she just leave?" her friend asked back.
"If only I could," you muttered and walked to the dance studio.
You had enrolled in an elite school, in which most celebrities had graduated from, via scholarship. That, everybody knew. However, they assumed, by your appearance, that you had applied for a scholarship of research of media industries instead of scholarship of dance and modelling. In other words, they viewed you as a nerd.
As you entered the unoccupied dance studio, you felt a sense of home. This was where you were yourself and could be yourself.
You took off your sweatpants from under your skirt, tossing them to the side of the air-conditioned room. It was getting a little hotter each day(even with the air-con) as summer seeped in. Feeling a bit restless, you switched on pop music from your phone and danced to it. You didn't have a memorized or specific routine for each song, you just danced along to it.
Dancing totally emptied your mind, and you truly enjoyed it. You loved dancing.
You were too focused on dancing to the third song that you didn't notice the dance studio door open. BTS opened the big door, laughing among themselves and playing like fools. When they saw you dancing, they turned quiet, watching you.
"Who's she?" Jimin whispered.
"I don't know..." Jungkook answered, amazed himself.
The song ended, and you finished off with a karate kick. The BTS boys applauded, sending whistles. You were surprised; you hadn't noticed them.
"Amazing!"
"Jjang!"
"Wah!"
You were shocked. Nobody had seen you like this, and now a group of boys, the most popular in the school, had seen you
You quickly collected your phone and sweatpants before quickly walking past them and out of the room. Jimin had noticed your glasses drop from your nose in your hurry. He kneeled to pick it up.
"Wait!" Jimin called after you and ran out. By the time he was out, you had already gone.
The other BTS members were in a daze. They were the hot topic of everyday, and knew everyone. How did they not recognise the girl they had just seen?
Jimin came back in. "I can't find her."
"That's too bad," RapMon replied. "She dances better than me."
The next day...
You planned on avoiding BTS for the whole day. Without your glasses, you couldn't wear your sweatpants, because it would be too obvious. Besides, you didn't need to wear a spare pair of glasses; they were fake. Thus, you wore what other normal girls did; a short uniform skirt with the uniform top. Initially, nobody recognised you.
"Are you a new student?" the guy who called you a loser the previous day asked.
"Wah, you're so pretty! Is it your first day here?" a classmate asked.
"Can you be my friend?"
You just shook your head to all the questions, even the last one, and took your usual seat at the back of the classroom. They didn't seem to care that a 'new student' had taken a nerd's seat.
Meanwhile, Jimin went around asking random girls if the pair of fake glasses were theirs. BTS supported him and asked along with him.
"Is this yours?" Jimin asked a group of girls.
They squealed in happiness.
"Yes, I think that's my spare glasses," one of them said as she pointed to her own spectacles.
Jimin walked away and sighed. He obviously knew it wasn't hers. Why would anyone need a spare pair of fake glasses? He was disappointed. Everytime he recalled you dancing, his heart would skip a beat. He shook his head and joined the rest of BTS.
You decided not to use the dance studio room that day. What if they saw you again? You asked the administration staff for the keys to the rooftop and they gave it to you without questioning you. You happily climbed up the steps all the way to the rooftop and basked in the cool summer breeze. Finally feeling the mood, you decided to dance to a slow song; a contemporary dance.
Meanwhile...
"Hyung, can we go to the rooftop?" V asked RapMon.
"What do you plan on doing there?" RapMon questioned. "Wait for your UFO to fetch you?"
V pouted. "Fine. Even if my UFO comes, you'll destroy it before I can board it."
Everyone laughed except RapMon.
"Actually, let's go there," Jimin said.
"Why?" the rest, including V, asked.
Jimin shrugged. "I just feel like going there."
There they were, climbing up the steps to the rooftop. Halfway up the last flight of steps, they heard slow music. Jimin became excited.
"What if it's her?" Jimin asked, wide-eyed.
They hushed him and walked slowly up the stairs. Once again, as they walked through the door, they watched as you danced to a totally different style of music.
Suddenly, you tripped. You let out a gasp and closed your eyes, bracing yourself as you fell. Instead of kissing the ground, you felt yourself held by a pair of strong arms. You looked up to see Park Jimin, the same guy in the group yesterday who saw you.
"Annyeong," he greeted.
You immediately jerked away from him, regretting that action as you fell on your butt.
"Ouch!" You winced.
"Are you okay?" Jimin asked as he kneeled beside you to see you at eye level.
"I'm okay," you said, averting your gaze away from him.
Without you noticing, Jimin took out the fake glasses and placed it gently on you. He adjusted it on the bridge of your nose. You just stared at him, open-mouthed.
"Yep, it's you," he said, nodding his head. "So, what's your name?"
"M-min Hye Ri," you answered softly.
"Well, Hye Ri-sshi, would you mind being my dancing partner?" he asked. You were about to say no when he added, "And my girlfriend?"
