Making Memories

Y/n's POV

We start driving back to camp, and I hug Ben to comfort him, cause I know he misses Bumpy.

"Thanks Y/n, I really needed that." He tells me.

Little do you know I need one too.

"No problem, I could tell you needed it." I say.

"Hey, Y/n?" Ben asks

"Yeah?"

"You hungry? I have some carob bars."

I'm not hungry, but I will not turn him down.

"Yeah, thanks."

He passes me a carob bar, and he looks at me with eager eyes as I open it, and take a bite.

"So what do you think?" He asks.

"It's really good!" I exclaim.

It really is good, and I am surprised I like it, I like pretty much nothing.

I finish the rest of it, and I hold the trash till we get to camp. Once we get to camp we pull up to Darius, and Kenji.

"Hey guys." Darius says.

He and Kenji pant, then wave to us.

What were they up to? Probably something dangerous.

I look around and see Brooklynn on her phone, Ben is holding his nose due to the smell, Sammy and Yaz are just sitting there, and I am thinking about Bumpy, and also what they were doing.

"Why are you two so out of breath?" Roxie asks.

"Just doing the job we're told." Darius lies. "How was the field trip?" He asks to divert the attention from him.

Yep totally doing the job you're told. I believe you 100%

"Oh, well, um, you know Ben and Y/n fell in love with a dinosaur, and basically adopted it, and are her parents-" Yaz gets cut off.

"But we don't mean like we are married." Ben says nasally.

"And Super Star here got us booted from the lab." Yaz finishes.

"That is not what happen-" Brooklynn starts.

"How'd poop patrol go?" Sammy giggles.

"Uh...." Darius halters.

"Awesome! You all should've seen how I owned-" Kenji gets cut off.

Darius stops him and comes up with a lie.

"This valuable experience! Um, learned a lot about ourselves and, uh... yep!" Darius says to keep himself out of trouble.

Totally believe you, imma go up to Kenji and ask him, he loves to brag.

Roxie sniffs

"Oh! Well then, hit the showers, and maybe stay in there for a while?" Roxie suggests.

Roxie starts going to camp.

"Use soap. Lots of soap!" Ben enunciates.

I see Darius and Kenji talking about something serious, and Kenji looks annoyed for a second, then they talk some more, then Kenji hits Darius's arm playfully. I get out of the car and get in the elevator, and I see Darius and Kenji walking towards camp, when they get into the camp, everyone, but me plugs their noses, I can't smell it, since I ya'know basically broke my nose.

"Alright, once they are done with their showers, then we are going to be baking, then after that, we go to bed and tomorrow is a surprise!" Roxie says.

"Ohh, I'm excited." Brooklynn says.
