Little Nightmares Mono x Reader Imagines

Delusion

Another idea that came to mind but due to my brain not functioning very well, I just went along on what I thought.
Note: Our reader is a skater and they're aged up, along with other characters.

Looking at Pale City today would make a visitor think that the city is deserted. Buildings being abandoned. Either it gets boarded up or broken down, leaving it open. Scattered garbage in the streets and the civilians not having a face, as they wander around or find a functioning static tv to stare at. One may think that the entertainment that the city used to provide doesn't function anymore but luckily for (Y/N), they seem to find an ice rink that still has its ice preserved. Due to the roof over the rink and the cold temperature around, the ice is thick enough for some skating.

(Y/N) and their friend Axel (an OC friend) were trying to find some survivors that doesn't seem to be affected of the static signals that came from the signal tower in Pale City. But after looking around (but also trying to not get spotted by the civilians), they seem to stop at a ice rink. Due to the excitement (Y/N) was feeling, they went around the arena to find some skates that are lying around. Axel, being a (bitchy) friend he is, he decided to let his friend have their fun while he tries to look around for food that they can eat.

After minutes of looking, (Y/N) was about to give up on their search but suddenly, they heard a thud on the other side of the rink. Usually (Y/N) was smart enough to not fall for sounds that suddenly came out of nowhere, because of how everything usually goes wrong when a person checks out on that random sound. That usually happens in horror movies anyways. But even if they're smart enough not to go to where the sound came from, they can't help but feel curious.

So, they went on the other side of the rink and what do you know? There's a pair of skates on the floor! (Y/N) was happy to find them but also curious on how the skates made a thud sound. 'Maybe it was dropped by Alex?' (Y/N) thought to themselves but they shrugged the idea away and rush into putting the skates on.

Once they put the skates on, they realized that it's a perfect fit! Now they can skate without Alex watching them.

As they enter the skating rink, (Y/N) thought they were a little bit rusty, due to not skating for awhile. But once they enter the rink, it feels as if they just skated yesterday. They push themselves forward more to gain some speed until they're finally skating gracefully on the rink. They made arm gestures as if they're dancing while skating, their eyes closed, feeling the air around them as they go in a fast speed on doing spins and tricks around the rink. As they let a smile appear on their face, while having their eyes closed still.

Suddenly, (Y/N) had an idea on doing a trick. They stopped on what they're doing, as they prepare themselves.

They open their eyes and with a determined look, (Y/N) starts skating, slowly gaining speed. When they were about to lift themselves up, they closed their eyes, feeling the wind on their face. Slowly, they lift themselves up from the rink but also spinning in the process.

As this was happening in slow motion, (Y/N) opened their eyes, being happy at the fact they did their trick but when they looked at where they found the skates, they saw a figure. A boy, is what they're assuming, wearing a brown coat hugging his figure. A key on the side of his coat but also with a paper bag to cover his facial feature. It can't be.

'Mono?' (Y/N) thought, as their focus is mostly on the figure, not noticing they're about to hit the ice. Once they blinked, they finally realized that their body collided with the ice, slipping until they reached the corners of the ice rink. They groaned in pain, trying to recover their thoughts as they try to lift themselves up. Luckily, Axel was back to see the failed trick and quickly went to where (Y/N) is at and helped them get off the rink and checking if they have some serious damage. There's none which is good but once Axel removed a pair of skates that (Y/N) was wearing, they quickly try to stand up but failed to do so as the impact really took a toll on them. But with Axel's help, they were able to stand up with Axel supporting them.

As Axel continues to ask on what's wrong with them, (Y/N) looks to where the paper bag figure was at but they didn't see anyone. The only people who are around is them and Axel.

Bonus:

Mono, who's watching at the sidelines, saw how majestic looking (Y/N) is. However, when they looked into his direction, it was time for him to leave. 'We'll meet again someday, my dear' Mono thought as he walks away from the ice rink arena, leaving Axel and (Y/N) alone.

The idea for this fanfic was everyone in this fanfic is aged up so I'm guessing around teenage years? Because Mono was stuck on the signal tower around 11 years old. (At least that's what I think). And our reader skates and on the part where they see mono, their desperate want on seeing him again, got them into seeing Mono but with his paper bag on. Because that's the figure they remember him by. But Mono isn't wearing the paper bag anymore and that's the title. and he did the bill cipher singing "we'll meet again on Sunny day." I've added Axel who's a OC friend of our reader so this shitty plot makes some sense. At least to me
