The Atlas Test//s1

I was running through the woods with my bow held with my tight grip and my arrows snug in a pouch on my back.
I felt my ears twitch to the sound of soft rustling in the bushes near me. Right when my unknown attacker jumped at me I spread my wings and flew off, landing few feet away.

I could see the trees begin to part as the bright sun shun on my face. I looked up and saw hanging pouches.
While still sprinted I shot an arrow at a thick string and caught the beige colored bag in my hands.

The rustling behind me grew louder.
I jumped up when three attackers jumped at me. I used my powered to flip my body and land perfectly, to continue running.

I made it to the end of the forest and saw my team and the former Atlas team aka my family, blood related and not.

"Well done." Mom said.
"Thanks." I said in my normal soft tone and opened the small bag of food in my hands.

I heard my teammates panting behind me as they also left the training area.
"She's quick." Juniper rested her arm on my shoulder while I chewed on some bread.
"Too quick." Rain added.

"But you run like a beast." Sasha panted.

I held the small piece of bread in front of Juniper while she panted and without a question ate my leftovers.
"That's enough training for today." Dad said. "You guys have school stuff too."

I heard Beth groan while she laid in the grass. "I'd rather be training than school."
"We're homeschooled..." Her older brother said, Logan.

The former team nodded. "Did anyone even sign up?" Del, my older twin brother, asked.

I groaned in defeat.
"What's wrong with Kai?" Ethan elbowed me.
"Kai's great but I just am getting kinda tired of having a shadow al the time."

Urania slapped the back of his head. "Ow!"

"What about paladins?" I asked.
"We're not sure about that topic." Mom said. "We'll probably let the lions pick out of the new members."
"Only three of us were chosen." Beth said. "And that was when we were kids."
"That was two years ago." Logan said.
