Dream walked with Eret out of the throne room, where they left the king and his son. As soon as the doors closed, Eret spoke "So, you remember our deal?" Ah yes, the deal. The deal that Dream made with Eret a week earlier before he even knew that he was chosen to guide the prince to another kingdom, the deal that Eret offers Dream after the king has told him his plans, the deal that could change everything. Did Dream care for all of this? In a short answer, no. All he needed to know was that he would get what he asked for, for his end of the deal to meet.

"Yea, I remember the deal." His voice showed no emotion whatsoever, he has learned that feelings get in the way. That's why he wore the mask, the mask with only a smile on it, the mask that covers everything, even his eyes. "Good....make sure he never makes it to The Bedwars. Understood?" Dream only nodded, did he know the reasoning for this? No, did he care? No, he had no reason to care, how could he? He doesn't know this person, the prince, the son of a small kingdom. Frankly he didn't want to know him, had no reason to know him. It was unneeded.

"Got it, it won't be that hard." He's a prince, he most likely doesn't know how to hold that dagger of his correctly much less fight. Dream was never worried about fighting a person, he was the best he knew at hand to hand combat. That was never a worry for him, so doing this won't be hard, none of his jobs were ever hard, he hoped on taking this job it will be more exciting. Looks like I'm wrong. He sighed as he heard the king call him and Eret back in the throne room.

There they see the prince, he looks upset and on the verge of tears, Dream waited for the prince to say his last goodbyes. Can you just hurry it up already? The sooner this is done then the sooner I can go back home. I can go back to my brother.

Fundy walked to Dream, he nodded to him, his lips were pressed thin as if he was trying not to burst from all of this. Dream nodded back and followed behind him, they walked in silence, the only sound was their shoes tapping on the floor as they walked. The air around them was thick, it was almost as if a wall was between them, Dream couldn't understand it, it was almost as if the prince was pushing himself away from Dream. Keeping his distance from him, most likely just throwing a fit because daddy didn't give him what he wants. Dream had to bite his tongue so he doesn't scoff or mutter something he will regret, after all he is still a prince and they haven't left the castle just yet. They walked to the front of the castle, where two horses were waiting for them, one was brown while the other was brown with white spots on it. Dream waited for the prince to throw a fit about not having a carriage to ride in, but he never said a word.

Dream was shocked as he watched Fundy silently getting on the hose that was all brown, not going to whine, complain? Not even pout about it? Fundy waited for Dream to get on his horse, it was quite awkward when Dream realized that he was staring at Fundy, never been happier to wear a mask than now. Dream got on his horse, he headed to the castle front gates. Dream went through them without a problem, but he didn't see that Fundy stopped. Dream turned around, waiting for the prince, Fundy just stood there for a moment before finally signaling his horse to go, Jeez, how long does it take him?

Dream turned back and started to go once again, they didn't speak to one another, they just ride close to each other as the villagers stared at them, some yelled in joy as they watched the prince of leave their land, some cursed at him, calling him horrible names. "Monster! Witch! Slut! Whore! You beast! You curse child, you are the reason why we lost our queen!" Dream every so often checked on Fundy, to see how he was doing with the hate, but every time he looked at him, he kept his chin up and kept his eyes forward, he kept his pride. Dream didn't expect him to keep his cool, to stay still and strong. Dream respected him for that, to keep his emotions in check.

Of course, Dream didn't see him bite his tongue or that his hands were shaking, he didn't see that Fundy was scared, he didn't see his fear, and he won't. Soon they were out of the village and into the land of crops, there will be no more people. No one to yell, scream, or curse at Fundy, for some weird reason, that made Dream relax. Something less to worry about. Why should I worry about how the prince feels? He won't feel for long.

They didn't talk, or even look at each other, well, Fundy didn't look at Dream. Dream though? He couldn't keep his eyes off Fundy, he would look at every few minutes, to make sure he's okay. That he wasn't upset or tired, Dream did feel bad for the prince, being hated by his own people. He doesn't even know why he was hated, why they threw harsh words at him. Words that Dream will never believe, but he stayed quiet, this was not his concern, his concern was to make sure that prince never gets to The Bedwars kingdom.

The wind blew softly as they went along the trail, the closer they got to the bride that would take them out from the land, the more Dream grew unsure. He couldn't understand it, he has never got his feelings in the way with a job, he said to make sure he never gets to The Bedwars......that doesn't mean I need to end him.....I could just leave him somewhere else or maybe take him home with me.....my brothers will like him, they love new people.

Dreams thoughts buzzed around his head, one after another. For the first in his life, he was unsure if he could go through with his job, to go through with the deal. He was so consumed with his thoughts, he didn't notice he had stopped. Just staring ahead of him, wondering what to do, if he could go through with it or not. Why do I feel this way!? I shouldn't care! He's only a target, a price, another job. Nothing more! Yet when Dream told himself this, he knew he was lying, he knew he couldn't do this.

Why do they want to get rid of him anyway? What has he done? His father shows great love for him, so why do so many people want him gone? Maybe he was framed for something, maybe he was blamed, maybe they just hate him, to hate him. Only when Fundy spoke is when Dream snapped out of thoughts. "Are you okay?" Dream turned his head to the prince, his light brown eyes seemed to be looking through his mask. He straightened himself up and nodded yes.

"Maybe it's for the best that we take a break, do you know any place where we can stop at?" Fundy kept his eyes on Dream, watching his every move. He couldn't explain it, but he felt nervous when Fundy didn't look away, keeping his eyes on Dream. Say something, anything! He stumbled over his words as he tried to speak, Ugh, just talk you dumbass! Dream looked in his messenger bag and pulled out a map, looking to see if there is a town nearby for them to rest in. As he scanned a map, he spotted a little town named The Tekkit Works, "We can go to The Tekkit Works, it's close by and near the bridge we need to cross." His voice was stern and cold. Fundy nodded, "Sounds good. Which way?" Dream looked at the map, "This way."

He put the map back in his bag and headed north, since they were coming from the south. "Cool, race ya!" Before Dream could even open his mouth, Fundy raced off, leaving Dream in the dust. "Hey! Wait up!" Dream kicked the sides of his horse gently and rode off, chasing the fox. If he thinks he can beat me in a race, then he has another thing coming!

Dream missed this, the rush, the adrenaline running through his veins. The wind hitting his skin, the thumping of the hooves on the ground, the laughter of the prince as he took the lead. Dream quickly caught up to the prince, he was enjoying the race as if he didn't have a care in the world. But I do have cares.....I have a job I need to do. He's not my friend.....he's my target. When Dream reminded himself that, he slowed down. "We shouldn't be messing around. We need to get to The Tekkit Works and stay focused." Remember why I'm doing this. Fundy slowed down, he nodded.

"I guess, we are far from it?" He pulled his horse to a full stop, Dream did the same. He looked up to see that the sun was close to setting, I hope we are. He checked his map, they weren't far off, but they wouldn't make it before sunset. Dream sighed at this, nothing can be easy, can it? "We need to get moving, the sooner we go the sooner we reach the town." Dream made a clicking sound with his mouth to let the horse know to start moving. Fundy ride beside him, the air was thick with Dreams sudden mood change. Dream was torn, he didn't know what Fundy did so wrong that his own people wanted him dead, he didn't know why Fundy's 'best friend' wanted him gone as well. When he looked at Fundy, he couldn't see anything that was wrong, he could see a boy with ginger hair and shining bright brown eyes. Those eyes.....

Dream wasn't going to go through with the deal until he finds out what Fundy did so wrong that he had to be sent away from his home.
