Chapter 4

After the little fight, they did end up setting camp for the night. Dream watched Fundy carefully, it wasn't weird to watch them eat. At least that's what Dream would have said if you asked him, the prince was unaware of the mask man watching him as he ate. Though he did feel like someone was watching him. Dream wanted to speak but every time he opened his mouth he just ended up backing out and staying quiet. The prince didn't speak, his mind wandered from here to there, he wondered about his father, his best friend Eret, even the people despite their clear hatred for him. Fundy sighed, everything was too much for him. He was just a small fox in a world of huge wolves, wolves that would rip him apart if they knew who he really was. With those thoughts running back to him, the ones that he thought if he even deserved to be him. I could have worn a dress....kept my long hair....I could have pushed through. I was born a girl after all...but Dad loved me no matter what. Dream watched as the fox slowly stopped eating and just stared off into space, Fundy was unaware of their surroundings as he curled up and hugged his tail.

Dream didn't know what to do so he just took out the blankets and pillows for the night. Fundy didn't move the whole time, he didn't make any signs that he was there. His ears no longer twitched at the sounds, his mind was consumed by the horrid thoughts he was having. Eventually, they started to cry. Again, the green blob had no idea what to do, fighting and stealing? He could do that with ease, lying? Please, give him a real challenge. And that challenge was emotions, he had no clue on how to deal with them. His answer was to bury them deep deep down, though that's not the healthiest thing to do. Okay, the prince is crying and not responding to any sounds...maybe physical touch? Taking a blanket, he gently wrapped it around Fundy. He flinched a bit when they felt the blanket touch him but soon relaxed, Fundy unknowingly leaned into Dream warmth. The poor fox sighed, closing his eyes as they grabbed the blanket and tightened it around them, Dream patted his head. This is comfort right? You give them physical reassurance...with headpats? I don't know, Bad was better at this. Fundy looked up at Dream, his eyes big and around, a lovely amber. Damn...those eyes. He took in a sharp breath as Fundy's eyes met his. Well, the mask eyes. ". . .Thank you. . ." Fundys voice was so small and soft, as if he spoke any louder he might break. Dream only nodded, pulling away his hand. "Um...no problem."

Even though Fundy couldn't see it, Dream's face went red. His heart beating faster as Fundy didn't bother to look away, studying his mask a moment before Dream was the one to look away. "You should sleep...we will go to The Tekkit Works first thing in the morning. I need to get more supplies since we will be crossing through the Discs and Bees kingdom." Fundy eyes lit up, "I could go see Tommy and Tubbo!"

"Who?" Dream turned back to them, Tubbo and Tommy..? I know Tommy, me and him...aren't best of friends. Dream remembers the job that had him steal Tommy's magic discs, it paid a lot and he needed the money. So he took the job. "Tommy and Tubbo, Tommy is my uncle and I guess Tubbo is too but he is only Tommy's best friend." Fundy's tail wagged a bit, "I haven't seen those two since the great war of the discs and when L'manburg went to war." Dream's throat went dry, he caused that war. "O-oh.." 

Fundy leaned on Dream, he sighed slightly. "I haven't seen them since I was a pup...I wonder how they will react to me now." His ears folded as he went back to deep parts of his mind, they snuggled into Dream, hugging him. Dream tense up, I hugged him fist, of course he would think he could snuggle up to me. "I'm sure it will be fine." Dream said numbly, the prince only nodded. "You are most likely right....night Dream." He closed his eyes and soon without much trouble, he fell asleep. 

Authors note: Look I know I kept dropping it and picking it up, I know I need to make a scheduled. Its more on me if anything, things have been holding me up. Like really badly, I have gone through some things with family, like being kicked out and is now living with another member of my family. We are moving again and having to deal with school. Im sorry for my inactive ass, I'll make it up to ya somehow. Thank you for the reads and support you lot have given me!
