Prologue

The Kingdom of L'manburg is known for the story of how it was raised, a group of friends, made a nation out of nothing. Only with the clothes on their back, and the hope in their hearts, they fought for a home. They fought wars and lost many, even being betrayed by their own brother, their friend. They never stopped though, they kept fighting, and their land thrived. They became known, and respected, but they were still the smaller kingdom. Their rulers are King Wilbur Soot and Queen Sally Soot, they loved each other deeply.

Sally was a mermaid, a salmon one to be exact. She met her prince in a river, they fell in love, Wilbur would meet Sally by the river everyday. Soon, Sally begged to be with him, she asked her father day and night, he said no again and again. Until he met Wilbur himself, Sally's father saw the great love they had for each other, so he granted her wish. She became the first shiftshapers known to the world, at her will she can become anything she wanted. Her favorite form was a fox, and a mermaid of course.

Soon, they had a daughter, which they named Floris. Unfortunately, the queen died while giving birth to her daughter, she got to hold her, but she will never get to meet her son, Fundy. As Floris grew, she didn't feel like Floris, she hated the dresses, she hated her long hair, she hated her body. It wasn't hers, so she became him. It took him awhile to tell his father, but he did, he told him everything. Wilbur welcomed his son with open arms and love, "I have a son! I have a son!" he cried with pure joy.

That day, the princess left and the prince came, Fundy news was spread throughout the kingdom. Some rejoiced, but many didn't. They couldn't understand it, "how can this be!? That's no princess! That's a monster, no wonder her mother died!" They roar with anger, they wanted Fundy gone.

"I will not let my son be hurt! I want him to go and stay in my brother's Kingdom. The Bedwars." Wilbur had a guard to go with his son.
