The golden diffused light shone softly through the flower shop. It flitted through petals and thorns, reaching the front counter where Perrie is currently rushing through inventory. She’s sold quite a few tulips and hyacinth bouquets, ticking them off from her stocks and leaving notes. Her eyes glanced at her watch and seeing the limited time she had left before the concert started, making her handwriting almost illegible.

The account book closed with a thump and her apron was thrown across the counter before she ran out to flip the close sign and lock up. She wasn’t worried about getting a good seat, she was just too excited to watch superstar Leigh-anne Pinnock, who’s she’s been fangirling about since forever, in concert.

The closer she got to the venue, the more she could clearly see how fans crowded the entrance. It’s times like this where she’s the most thankful for her powers. Well she couldn’t really call them powers, they were more magic bound than anything else. With a smirk, Perrie looked up and flew above the stadium walls, settling into a clear view of the stage. She still debated though if she should move closer, it was getting chilly.

Some patrons who happened to glance up gave her a wave while she waved back. It was no secret that she was the city’s unofficial hero and while most of the time there wasn’t any real danger, the goddess Amelia leaves quite a mess.

“Hi everybody! Thank you for coming out tonight and let’s have some fun yeah?”
Leigh’s voice boomed through the roar of the crowd, amongst those Perrie’s. The Popstar got curious as it seemed to drift from above. She peered across the beaming spotlight and saw the blonde perched on a light railing, swinging her legs. She’s heard of Perrie and concluded that it might be her so she gave her a wave which ultimately made Perrie almost fall backwards in excitement.

It was the middle of the set and Perrie was sure her voice would be hoarse tomorrow if she kept cheering like she did. It was worth it though, she thought and cheered louder as Leigh slayed another dance break.

She felt something wet trickle on her arm and wiped it absentmindedly. She felt another droplet on her hand and deemed to check if it was raining. The skies were clear when she looked up which made her more confused. The moment a hot breath touched her skin, her head whipped sideways and sure enough a dog was flying beside her.

A pug with small white wings barely carrying itself and what looks like a rainbow tail.

This cannot be happening right now.

Perrie braced herself and looked back. Different kinds of dogs with wings big and small zoomed across the city. Some even had little horns on them. The blonde groaned, seeing the flashes of light going on inside one of the city’s penthouses, knowing who was the culprit. She can’t believe she waited for Leigh-anne’s concert for months only to have to leave in the middle of it to stop whatever chaos Jade is making.

Leigh drank the bottle of water left for her on stage and pointed the mic towards the crowd. Her intrigue about Perrie made her glance on the light railing throughout the show and the next time she did, the blonde wasn’t there anymore, in place was a snoring pug. With a nod of her head  towards her crew, she gestured to the dog, a silent plea to get him down before he hurts himself.

Perrie’s POV:

“Jade!” I called out, catching her with a ‘My Little Pony’ book on one hand and the other poised to spew out another spell. A feisty pomeranian flew in front of her and panted happily while she tried to change his wings into glowing ones. Sweat beaded at her forehead like she’s been working on it for hours but I know it’s a telltale sign of her exhaustion from doing magic.

“Jade!” I screamed again but she wouldn’t turn to look at me. I’ll give her one more chance.“I swear to god Ja--”

Something seemed to hit a nerve with her and she spun on her heels fast, annoyance gracing her features. “It’s goddess Amelia and I don’t see what good can come from swearing to arrogant gods”
